View Full Version : Magnet StDs
Just wondering if anyone had good places they ordered magnetic StDs from...
So far "Fresh Impressions" seem to be the b est and most reliable source (cost and quality) and avg around $1 a piece.... other better deals are always welcome!
(I worry about using vista print b/c I have heard such mixed reviews)

I highly recommend Lacie (if she is still doing them, she designed them for me and then I printed them) :)
i'm not as much worried about the design as the printing.....

The StD magnets that we made. I'm not sure if you got one or not, I can't remember.
I used photoshop to make the design and then uploaded it (for a small fee) and then they came in a few days. Also, if you sign up for their mailing list they send you a million emails with GREAT deals on magnets. I ended up paying a fraction of what they were advertising on the site if you weren't on the mailing list.
i did get one -- its on my fridge!
they did turn out great...
does photoshop have hebrew in it? (if it does, it may be worth me making the investment)

Well, XP does, and Photoshop supports it. I don't think we used any because of space stuff.
Also, Photoshop is $$$, but if you wanted, I would be willing to be your personal designer. I know you said you had some inspiration stuff and that would be fun for me. It's up to you though.
we can discuss that further ;)

Vista print is the only place I've seen magnets :bag:
I used them last year for our Christmas cards (photo cards). Ours turned out great, fast shipping, and cheap.

Well, I know that you were looking for suggestions of other places, but I wanted to mention that I've also had great experiences with Vista Print. We used them for our STd magnets, and I've also used them for business cards. I've always been very pleased.

I made my magnet STDs! I just printed them on pretty business cards (that you print yourself) and bought the magnets at the same store (they were specifically made for business cards). Printed them and the stuck them on the magnets!
Everyone loved them and when my friend was making hers she asked me where I had them made so she could get them too!!

I made mine too. I printed them on pretty paper, and stuck them to a magnetic sheet with adhesive on the back. The sheets were $16 at Michaels, and I got about 20 magnets per sheet. Mine were a bit bigger than a business card.

Mel, I know that you already solved this one but just in case for other brides, I was able to find printable magnetic business cards from Office Depot. It saved me a step from having to print onto paper and then glueing / attaching to a magnetic backing. It's literally a full sheet of paper that has about 16? squares and the insert even tells you what template you can use w/ Word for the correct margins.
It didn't harm my printer and we still have ours on the fridge over 2 years later.
We used VistaPrint for the rehearsal dinner invites. They came in quick, correct, and everyone loved them.

Tanya, your STD is on my fridge right now. I would never have known that you made those if you hadn't said something. They look beautiful!
