View Full Version : Problem with this Photo?
I'm trying to decide which photos to get prints of from our engagment pics... What do you think about this one:

My only problem with it, besides my fly away hairs which they will fix for me. Is look at my FH hand? how close is that to looking like his hand is in my croch! I really like this picture but hate how close his hand is. so now the question is will people notice it? I was going to just crop it but FH says something about stray hands and it doesn't look good in photographs. So should I leave it or just have it look like our hands are chopped off just incase grandma notices this lol

Lori, before I read your comments the first thing I noticed was the placement of FHs hand. Other then that it is a great picture of the two of you. I just think that distracts from the rest though.

You are right... the first thing you notice is the hand placement... I also used my photo editor to edit the hands out, but the idea is still there... I realize that the picture is nice, but I think the placement of the hands would distract from that...
What about cropping the picture further up your torso (towards the middle). I checked that out and it looks much better that way... Try it... you might like it... Just make sure you crop the top to make the picture center.

Yea the stupid thing was his hands were placed fine, and the photographer made him move his hands. I think its because he has long arms so he was trying to make his arms look not so long, but didn't realize how close his hands were getting. :( I'll have to crop it probably then. Thats why I placed the comments after the picture not before to see if you would notice right away.

Yeah, I didn't notice the hand either until it was pointed out. I don't think that it's too close but if it makes you feel more comfortable to crop it then I would do that!

I didn't notice the hands until you said something. But I still really like the photo. If it's your fav. I would just keep it as is.

I didn't notice until you said something. And please don't be offended but you are a skinny girl. There isn't much more space to put the hand. I don't see anything wrong with it. But if it makes you uncomfortable then of course change it. If you decided to crop it I would suggest cropping it up higher. Handless arms will be as much a distaction. Maybe above or right at the elbow?
Do you have any others you can show us?

When I get home I'll play with cropping it, but I do like the look of the full picture so maybe I'll just leave it and hope grandma doesn't notice, or just don't give her a copy of that one lol

I love that one as well! I didn't notice in the first pic until you mentioned it, but as soon as you did, it stuck out like a sore thumb. I gotta say the one of you two sitting down is my favorite. You two look so happy and playful! :)

I noticed his hand before you mentioned it and thought "What in the world is his hand doing right there" and then I looked at the expression on his face and it looks like the look of some one who's about to get some! :agree: :lol:
I like the one with the tree (where you're not kissing) and the one with you guys walking and looking at each other.
Good luck & you guys sure are a cute couple :D

Maybe, that would be awesome if he could. He did say to let him know if I want any of them touched up. Which I think I'm going to have him do with some of our favorites.

lol here is a picture I found of where his hand was before the photographer had him move it. What a naughty photographer we have :hehe:
The only problem with it is there looks like there is a spot on my shirt :(

I would say if you are going to feel self-conscious of the first one, have it cropped at waist/elbow height....if not, see what your photographer can do...the "spot" on your shirt would be VERY easy for a photographer to edit....probably easier (less time consuming) than moving a hand?! :)

I think Lacie did a great job of fixing it. I'm not a fan of your facial expression in the one with his hand on your waist, you look like you want to punch the photographer. Maybe he can switch you head. Or the idea of cropping your first picture and the waist is good too.

I really like the first one and the one of you two sitting! I did notice his hand and it is kinda weird placement but I still love the pic! I love how you hands are placed, you can see your ring. I am always looking for the ring in engagement pics so that is why I noticed his had but I think it would be fine!!!
The 1st one I posted of us sitting is my all time favorite followed by the last one I posted of us sitting as well. But I was trying to get some more pictures with the different poses, and looked through all the tree ones and that one was my fav. of those just minus his hand lol. But like you said if I chop off our hands no e-ring :(
Maybe I'll just leave it and if people notice oh well lol

I noticed his hand, but it looked like it was on your hip to me.
Be careful where you ask to crop too, because cropping looks really funny when it's at any joints.

I hate to say it, but I noticed the flyaways and NOT the hand when I looked :laugh3: So I wouldn't worry about the hand.
We have one e pic that looks like my hand is actually Bryan's hand, which is weired because his hands aren't supposed to be girly.. I will try to find it later and post it, maybe it will make you feel better!
