I don't see what I do as strange but I'll post it for anyone who might like it.....I take prenatals (not because we are TTC because we're not), because they really make my nails hard and hair shiny! My hair was shiny before but wow! Now it's even better :) I take the Target brand

Pencil erasers are the best thing I've found for removing mascara errors.

I second the beer thing, my Aunt is a hair dresser and swears by it.

My mom said she has done the beer thing in her hair before and said its AWESOME!!! Makes it so soft and shiny!

I will have to try the pre-natal thing like Kristy said. I love having hard nails and shiny hair.. great suggestion!

I mix baking soda with my shampoo every so often. It strips your hair from build up and makes it soooooo soft!

So exactly how do you do the beer thing? I may just have to try it. And what does the prep. h do for under your eyes?

you wash your hair, then pour it on your head...and rinse it out. Preperation H shrinks bags...works pretty well.

So, is one brand of beer better than another? Because I have six Coors in the refridgerator now that no one has drank since I bought them two years ago!

toothpaste on a pimple will shrink it and dry it up.

I'm going to try the beer thing today! And maybe I'll switch to prenatals too - that makes a lot of sense. Just as long as DH doesn't find out! (we're planning on having children, but not yet, and I can just see him freaking out a little if he heard!)

That actually makes sense...anyway, I saw it on the back of the Friut of the Earth brand Aloe gel. It also said it could be used for hair gel....I'm not brave enough to try that one!:o

I heard of all to these thing and I have not with the neosprin though.
What is the neosprin supposed to do for the shaving.

Prenantal vitamins can be taken even if not ttc ask you doctor and she/he will tell you so.

Any brand of beer does it, tooth paste the paste and not the gel works, shaving inside the shower opens up pore so the hair can be removed effectively, and mayonisse as a conditioner does the job, and it supposed to add shine and help the hair have more bounce.

I also use Olive oil for my hair, it is natural and it helps with shine. I also use egg in my hair. Now the short style I got my hair cut, now my hair is shoulder length.

To make hand smooth and cuticles look healthy I soak them in whole milk.
I also egg in my hair and use prenantal vitamins and so forth.

i think it would help with razor burn, Future Mrs.Ray. It contains hydrocortizone which is an anti inflammatory..I think using plain hydrocortizone cream would do the same.

I also don't know if this is strange....but I refuse to shave my legs every day. Actually, before I met DH and had no prospect of anyone touching or seeing my lefs, I let them grow for an entire fall and winter before I finally waxed them. Then, I let them go all through spring and waxed again. Now, I have NO hair that grows on the backs or insides of my calfs. And huge spots on the fronts of my calfs that no hair gows there, either. I also have very very little hair on my thighs. Just very fine peach fuzz on the front of my thighs, You can't even see it, but can feel it when it grows for a few WEEKS. I also tried this trick on my underarms. My underarms were very hard to shave, and no matter what I always had some left. So...I let tehm grow fro about 3 months (yeah, gross, I know) then waxed them. Then waited three months again and waxed them....The hair area of my underarms is now smaller, and much finer and eeasier to shave. It was well worth 6 months of letting it go.

I took Fertility Herbs (like you buy at GNC) and my cycles were regular and came on time and i had much better moods.

I wasn't TTC at the time.. I wanted to get my cycles back to normal after taking Depo.

I bought two bottles and going to see if it works again.. My cycles are so irregular this year and never have been before.

I don't think it's strange at all. I've never shaved my legs regularly... even when I was stripping, I wore thick black thigh-high stockings rather than shave my legs. ;}

Shaving/not shaving doesn't have anything to do w/ the quantity or quality of hair that you grow, but I imagine that waxing may damage some follicles enough that they don't grow back (at least, not for awhile). So... hooray for waxing! :D

well, I don't know, for me, the less I shave, the slower the hair seems to grow back. If I start to shave everyday, I will have thick stubble by the next morning, but if I only shave once or twice a week, the hair can take up to 2 or even 3 days to be THICK stubble.
But it is true that waxing can and does damage the follicles particularly of areas where the hair is finer and thinner to begin with. And repeated waxing will result in finer hair where it was once thick. If kept up for years, I have known women who honestly don't have bodily hair anymore where they have waxed it so much.

These is aren't strange tips, just a helpful tips. :) I red this in cosmo years ago and I still do it.

Apply moisturizer (facial and body) after a bath and shower while you skin is still damp (not wet). It will help lock moisture in and it also covers and glides more easily over your skin.
When applying foundation, use a slightly damp sponge (I like sea sponges). It helps glide the foundation over your skin and it blends it so evenly. No cakeyness or uneven application.

my mom swears by waxing, and I did it for a while when I was in high school...but my hair doesn't grow that thick, so I've found that once or twice a week does fine for me. :)

When dealing with Acne, putting an oil-free moisturizer (neutrogena has a good one) on after washing your face can actually help. I usually do this about 1/2 hour after I shower and it seems to have helped. Too much dryness can irritate the skin more creating blemishes!

So true! And also, by removing too much of your natural oils from your face causes an overproduction of oil, making skin greasier, so gentle cleansers are better for acne prone skin.

Did you take the FertilityBlend? Or specific herbs? I'm really curious.
