I'm not an Ohio gal yet...but I'll be an Ohio gal/bride in August! :kimgrill: Am I allowed to come and get rowdy?
And where is QueenElizabeth - shouldn't she be here too?

WOO HOOO for Ohio! :) It is a great state...especially when the weather is nice like it has been the past two days! :)

Kathy, not much longer till you move here right?!
Thought I would bump this up and ask if anyone in here has ever been to the bridal district in Cincinnati? That is where I ended up finding my dress and my bridesmaids dresses. It is a great place for all things wedding!

Yay for action in the Ohio thread!
I went to Bridal and Formal with Karen (katnye) when she bought her wedding dress and our BM dresses. Talk about an overwhelming place! Dresses everywhere! It was fabulous :woo:

I thought I heard my name...:hehe:
Like Sara said, I got my dress and bridesmaids dresses at Bridal & Formal in the wedding district. We didn't use any of the other vendors around the area because we already had some in mind. Talk about a one-stop-shop for any bride--it's fantastic!
How was your experience there? Mine was wonderful! I had been there before with my sister, so I knew they had an enormous amount of dresses. So, beforehand, I searched their website and figured out some designers and styles that I liked. It was very helpful!
Lets see pictures of your dress and your BM dresses!

HOPEFULLY not much longer till I move. Technically after the wedding, I can legally stay in the US...but until my work visa comes through I can't work. As much as I would love to be a Stay-at-Home-Wife, that's just not feasible! Immigration can be updated from Fiance status to Married status after the wedding and hopefully that will speed things up a little :crossfing:
Bridal district? Sounds like a wonderful place

I too got my dress at bridal and formal as well as the bridesmaid dresses! I will post pictures soon. My dress has *still* not came in though. There was a problem with it and it should be here by July, and because of this, they are taking 15% off of my purchase. The last time we went though I did take pictures of my dress when my girls got theirs, and I have pictures of them in the dress they decided on. :) (It turned out not to be what they had originally picked)
My veil however has came in, and I will have to post photos of that too!
Kathy, I very much hope that your process gets speeded up. Not that this is the same at all, but I know that things are very backed up here in the states if you want a passport. Many people have had to miss trips because they have not gotten theirs in time! Eek how horrible that would be?!

The bridal district is in Reading (a part of Cincinnati). There is an entire street devoted to all things wedding. It's wonderful! Here's a link to Bridal and Formal...the MASSIVE dress store we were talking about:

Thank you :) I like having everything in order, but I think I'm getting a little more used to being at the mercy of government agencies :mope:
As for the passports, they're actually allowing people to fly now as long as they have PROOF that they've submitted all the information necessary, because it's taking so long to get a passport!
Karen - sounds like a wonderful place - I don't dare go near there now or I'll be changing everything at the last minute :giggle:

Hey Kathy! My parents are thinking about moving closer to Marion in a year because my mom works over there at the prisons. So maybe one day we'll have to visit or go to lunch.

and i also got my dress for my first wedding from bridal and formal. they are awesome up there. there was another little shop down the street where i got the bm dresses and i cant remember the name of it now, but the owner was fabulous! i had to have surgery a couple weeks before the wedding and she actually called me at home after my surgery to see how i was feeling. i highly recommend that area to anyone!

Sherry - awesome - we've been talking in Kristina's journal about an Ohio Invasion - MLW style :D
Kristina - if you shop in Ohio, then that counts :giggle: And well, you can pretty much SEE Ohio! (Didn't matter anyways, these girls are nice enough to let me join in and I'm not even in the US yet )
