:excited: IM ENGAGED!!!!!!!!!! It is all very exciting :teehee:
Well to start it off I knew it was coming I just didnt know how or exactly when but it was fantastic! At the beginning of the week Evan asked me to ask Amanda and Brian if they wanted to come with us to play Monster Golf (its inside blacklight mini golf) and they said yes. So saturday rolls around and it was like any other saturday and then we got ready to meet Amanda and Brian and a friend of theirs for dinner. We went to Olive Garden and it was fantastic :lick: after which we went over to Monster Golf and started playing. Amanda was snapping away with the camera and we were having a great time. It was 18 holes of mini golf and I could tell something was going on because it seemed like every 5 minutes Evan was texting on his phone which is quite unusual this is when my suspicions started to arise lol We finally finished (which took quite a while to complete which is why he was texting so much, we were running behind) and as we were done the couple that was out with us suggested ice cream. Evan said no so fast that it was totally unnatural for him, the boy LOVES his ice cream haha... there was something DEFINITELY going on...
We got in the car and I said that I was tired and ready to go home he said "sorry but you have something to do before we go home" and then pulls out a bandana and blindfolds me... ok I know whats going on now lol but still had no idea how! I was having a billion things running through my head but we finally came to a stop, he told me to stay still and he would come and get me. I heard the door open and he unbuckled my seat belt and walked me about 10 steps forward, told me to hold out my hand and placed a dozen roses in them. I could smell candles but knew we were outside and had zero idea where we were. He took the blindfold off and I realized we were at the very top of one of KSU's (the college I go to) parking decks under the stars :heart:
Behind him were over 700 candles that spelled out "I :heart: YOU" with rose petals all over the place... He took my hand and said "we have been together for a long time now and its about time I make it official and have the world know just how much I love you. Arielle Elizabeth King, will you be my wife" I just about melted and said "yes!" We kissed and hugged and then asked "where is she?!?!?!" I knew one of my best friends planned all this as we were gone all night lol she came out behind a pillar and I gave her a huge hug then realized she didnt do this herself and two other friends came out as well. We then took a million other pictures and enjoyed the beautifulness that was the night :D

You can check out now if you want haha Im just going to tell what went on after we got back in the car... So I had to debate whether or not to call my parents. They werent always thrilled about the idea, they think we are too young and just because we are going to get married we are automatically going to pop out babies and forget about school/careers. Sorry, isnt going to happen. Thats not what we want but they think otherwise so it was a bit of a tough decision, I didnt want my night to be ruined but I made the call anyways lol I called my house first and my step-dad answered, he was less than enthused but said " I knew it was coming sometime" but atleast there was no serious disappointment or anything. Then I called my mom who was with my grandparents at the time so they all found out at once. They were also happy but nervous at the same time... I got the school/work lecture yet again but it all went better than expected :relieved:
This morning we went to my parents house and things went much better. They were all more excited and my mom and grandma LOVED the ring. We had a great morning - thus ending my engagement weekend :sappy:
