My Proposal

Well, Trin wanted me to post in here so I guess I will do what she tells me to. On Friday, RJ suggested that we go for a horseback ride the next day. He then made plans with my sister, Lacie (who didn't know what he was planning to do), to have a get-together at her house on Saturday night. Lacie and I both thought it was a little strange that he was planning this, but didn't think too much of it. Well, Saturday morning comes and while talking to his dad about our plans for the day, his dad invites himself, his mom, and another friend along for our horseback ride. RJ seemed kind of rude about this and didn't really act like he wanted them to come, little did we all know he had originally planned to propose on that day and they all ended up ruining it. Needless to say, he did not propose on Saturday. So on Sunday, he suggests another horse ride. I am pretty sunburned and tired from the day before, but he keeps insisting so I give in and we go for a ride in the late afternoon. He takes me over to a field next to our place and we ride around it and then he wants to stop by a group of trees by the creek and look at the area. We stop here and both get off our horses to look around. We had talked before about getting married at this spot, so he starts talking about where we would stand and where the minister would stand. And then he says "And the minister will say Ross (that's his is actual name, everybody but me just calls him RJ- his initials) do you take Skeeter (that is my nickname that lots of my family and he call me) to be your wife? And I will say I do. And then he will say Skeeter will you take Ross to be your husband and you will say you do. And then the minister will say, Where are the rings?" And then he pulled the ring out. And I couldn't believe it, I think I actually backed up and walked away because I was so shocked. Then he put the ring on my finger and asked me and I cried a whole lot and forgot to say yes! Lol. That was pretty much it. I had to ride back home really fast though because I hadn't taken my cell phone with me and I wanted to call everybody and tell them. :excited:

His dad felt a little bad, but it was funny because he didn't even know he ruined it and was pretty shocked when he found out.
