This is a simple project that will add sparkle and shine to your favor boxes!
To start, you need a few supplies.
To make the tags, you'll need thick cardstock in whatever color your tags will be in, and a die-cutter (or scissors and a hole punch, if you plan on making a simple shape. You can also use scissors in fun shapes if you want to make the edges something special)
To emboss, you'll need a stamp with the desired design, slow-set ink (you can find specialty embossing ink in most craft stores. Slow-set ink will give you enough time to stamp your image and sprinkle the powder on it before it dries, as well as will let you work in multiples), embossing powder, and a heat gun especially designed for embossing (a hair dryer will not get hot enough to effectively melt the powder).

You can use clear or tinted ink, and clear or tinted embossing powder. Just keep in mind that unless you use clear powder, the end result will be in the color of the powder, not the ink. Clear ink and clear powder will give a very subtle effect to your tags.
You'll also want paper to collect the remaining powder, anti-static product (optional) and a heat resistant surface to work on.
Once you've got your materials gathered, you're ready to start!!
1) First step is to cut out your tags. For this we used my electronic die-cutter.

2) Lay out the paper on your heat-resistant surface, and place 2-3 tags on the work area. Wipe them down with the anti-static product. This will decrease the chances of stray powder getting onto the tags in places you don't want to be embossed.
3) Place the stamp in the ink, then firmly stamp the image onto your tags. You can do 2-3 tags at a time, any more and the ink might start to dry before you can get the powder on them.

4) Sprinkle a generous amount of embossing powder onto your tags, over the stamped image. Remember, you can keep and reuse the excess powder.

5) Tap off the excess amount of powder off the tag, onto the paper. Set the tags aside for a moment.

6) At this point, you can pick up the paper, and bend it in the middle to collect the remaining powder, then pour the excess into the container again.
7) Using your heat gun, heat the image until the powder melts and the image turns shiny and is raised. Hold the gun a few inches away from the tag, and sweep back and fourth. Holding the gun too close can cause the tag to burn or discolor.

We used two stamps on the tags, so the first stamp ("With Love") was done first on several tags, then the heart was added.
