Saturday

Victorian Inn and Gardens

Pro
Violinist available through the venue
beautiful setting
on site overnight accommodations (included for bride and groom)
Garden reception with indoor backup
Menu looks awesome
bouquet boutnieer and cake decorated with flowers included in package (pics of samples look very nice to me)

Cons
Its a little small (max 110 guests) I was thinking 125 or so
Possible mosquito issues




Monday (we're going to see the gardens sunday and the venues monday)
Currently My Favorite....
New Orleans Botanical Gardens, Parkview Terrace
I'd have the ceremony in one of the gardens.

Pros
views of park and bayou with lots of windows
nice 360 balcony area
Gardens for Pictures are amazing
Reasonable, enough to do 150 people.
Large open space, great for dancing
central location

Con's
mosquito issues as well






Tell me what you think! Also, please suggest questions i should ask when i go if you can think of any or concerns i may have overlooked.

Well, I think they're both beautiful locations! I absolutely love garden weddings-- so pretty. :)

That said, I think that the 2nd location is really stunning. Considering that you can comfortably fit the amount of people you'd want, I'd agree with you in putting that one as my front runner. The first choice seems great too, but there was something about the 2nd one that I just gravitated towards.

i think they are both great options, and i would go on gut instinct when i showed up....
and which staff you like dealing with and feel is more responsive! that has been huge for me....

They are both wonderful. You are lucky to have the choice. I like that the first one has so much to offer in the package. But then again, sometimes that sorta locks you into one look. I think you will have to go and see. Because so much of it depends on how the area and energy of the place makes You feel. Hope you are really happy. Let us know!

Me too, and I can't tell if it's b/c I like the site better, or b/c they have a better website. I'll be interested to hear what your impressions are IRL. We always love pics, you know... :shuffle: :lol:

Oh, I can't wait to hear what you think. Secretly, I am :crossfing: for the 2nd choice but you will know when you see them what is perfect for the two of you. :)
