I cant be the first person to have this problem. My parents divorced when I was 13 and my mom got remarried. While my father and I arent really close anymore we still talk and such. My step dad is walking me down the aisle and I definitely want to dance with him but I would like to dance with my bio dad too... what has everyone else done? Two separate dances? A switch of in between?

Thanks in advance

I say you can do whatever you feel comfortable with! 2 dances is fine, or if you would like to do half the dance with one and then switch.

I wasn't even planning to have a father/daughter dance, but my dad kinda cut in at one point... so after a minute or two with him, I went over to my step-dad...

I had the same problem, and so did my husband... so we skipped father/daughter dance and mother/son dance. Easier for us! But my step dad did walk me down the aisle.

I would have two dances because your step dad played a very important role in your life. I'd dance with your step father first, he was there through everything for you. Then dance with your father, but to a different song. You have two men in your life that are special to you and you should show that. Or switch half way but I would dance with your step father first as my gut tells me he is the one you call "daddy"
