Do people typically buy gifts from the couple's wedding registry or should the bride register separately for her shower??? I'm not sure what the etiquette is and I was asked this question recently...

Typically, guests buy gifts from the registry for bridal shower gifts as well as wedding gifts so it helps to have a wide variety of things on the registry in a variety of price ranges.

I just did one registry. I thought it would be easier on the Guest.

I have lived in my house for over a year before the wedding so I did the upgrades and stuff I needed. I was told so many times register for the things you really want and need. Then you will never be disipointed.:heee:

:word: Unless the shower has a very specific theme for gifts (travel, honeymoon, lingerie) in which case you might want to make a seperate registry or add such items to your pre-exisiting registry if such items are available (such as luggage or small travel items).

The host throwing the shower should make the bride aware if they need to register for a specific theme (unless the theme is a surprise, of course)
