Yikes I checked all the cities that I have lived in and they range from $26,000 to $112,000. That is just crazy to me!!

I saw this before and thought it was quite neat. Helps you know if you're spending too much.

I think there are some weddings that honestly pull the average cost a little higher. For example.
Girl 1 spends $1,000 on dress
Girl 2 spends $1,000 on dress
Girl 2 spends $10,000 on dress

Average cost = $4,000 mathematically speaking.
Minus outliers, the average cost would actually be $1,000

I like that they put ranges though.

Wow I just did the average cost. I live in South Dakota but I am from Loveland, CO so my fiance and I are going back to Colorado to get married since that is where most of our family is at. And the average cost is 26,000. I dont know how anyone can afford that!

In our area it's between $13,616 and $22,693. We'll probably end up right around $13,000

They didn't have my zip, so I did the zip our actual wedding was in. $16,216 and $27,027 - we were smack in the middle of that.

At first I got $11,627 and $19,378.

They also have a wedding cost estimator. Where you pick the size of the guests, what attire, all the way down to transportation.

I did that and got $5,314 and $8,858. Our wedding was $2K below that :lol:

mine based on guests and items was: $21,548 and $35,915

seems pretty accurate... :nod:
if we didn't have kosher food ours would have been much less expensive, but as it was still was in the range...

Both of my estimates were similar:

Average in area: $23,407 and $39,011

Based on guests and items: $28,042 and $46,734

We were slightly below these.
