Newbie here in the dating department and I'm wondering if anyone has any date ideas, or I would even love to hear about some dates you went on that you thought were perfect!!

i think perfect is in the eye of the beholder!

however one of my favorite dates ever was a night we were at a party and snuck away to walk on the beach and just held hands walking and talking...
some other easily replicated favs include hiking, going to zoos or monuments, and fun interactive restaurants/museums....
i am not a big movie as a date fan b/c you don't really talk.... and i think the best are ones where you have to talk and interact with each other - b/c that is what builds the relationship!

:yeah: Anything that is an experience together versus a time killer. We're outdoorsy so playing at the park, hiking, etc. is always good.

but thats b/c cooking is his fav hobby and baking is one of mine :kimgrill:

I totally agree with Mel and Kate! Some of my favorites are bowling, hiking, having dinner parties with friends, and simply just going out to dinner at a new restaurant!

If I think of anymore, I'll come back to post!

Simple things can be the best. :) Some of my favorite dates have been...

-- Going to a sports game together.
-- Running around in the rain
-- Cooking/baking together
-- Driving around aimlessly

Hehehe, we've already drove around aimlessly. It's quite fun!! Yeah your right, simple things where you can just walk and talk or sit and talk are almost the best kind of dates at this point.

We done lots of hand holding/walking an talking at this point. I'm sad that it's getting colder out!!

Oh and you know, we've already started baking together because he cut the apples for me when I made an apple pie.

Depends on your area. Around here there isn't a lot of things to do

Some of my favorite things have been
-walking on the beach
-golfing. Real or putt-putt. If it's real get a tee time set up and rent clubs. I personally suck at golf but Andrew enjoys it so I'll tag along for entertainment
-going to the park and swinging/sliding/playing basketball
-We love funny movies, so renting them would be good that way you aren't interrupting others.
-Cooking together. Love it.

Haha, sledding does sound like fun. We'll have to wait on some snow for that one...

Some of my favorites are:
-Going to concerts together.. whether it's at a large indoor venue, or a small show at a park, or a music festival; SO and I love learning about each other's favorite music
-Movies at the drive-in theater (or having a night picnic while watching movies on a laptop)
-Going to a wine or beer tasting
-Camping, hiking, kayaking, etc.
-Visiting the pumpkin patch and/or apple orchard in the fall
-Browsing at the bookstore + coffee and dessert
-Playing board games!
-Skiing/snowboarding... then renting a room at a nearby lodge and warming up by the fire :)
-Walking on the beach, or through the park under the stars
-Baseball games.. even for non-sports fans like myself, this is usually fun
-Volunteering together
-Museums and art galleries
-Going to a play at the local university
-Take a class together, such as cooking, photography, foreign language, music lessons, yoga.. (we haven't done this yet, but hopefully soon!)
-Amusement parks
-Haunted houses, or exploring other creepy/"haunted" places

And this might be a little weird, but SO and I love grocery shopping together, and choosing foods to make that the other has never tried. I'll come back when I think of more!
