Okay....here are some of the first decorations I'm done making. I want to give some visual distinction to the first few rows, so that family will have a place to sit. I love the look of pomanders, but I don't like the cost, nor can my allergies handle a lot of flowers. So, VOILA! Here is my silk one.

6 dozen roses (1/2 off), styrofoam ball, ribbon (1/2 off--will use for the other balls), total cost: less than $18 vs. $400+ at real or with someone else doing it. YAY!!!!!

Beautiful job!! Just for the fun of it, start a list of how much you paid for things vs. what it "would" have cost...being a DIY person myself I saved over half the cost of my wedding! It makes you feel so great to see in the end!

Those are so pretty! One of the complaints about using fresh flowers is that they are heavy. Plus they tend to be labor intensive so the cost is high.

Hey, I have a great inexpensive florist that I work with all the time when you get ready to talk about the rest of your flowers.
