Hello everyone I am new and I am recently engaged and planning a wedding for August 13th 2011. I want to use yellow bright colors, daisies and sunflowers. Any ideas?

Just an FYI, you guys, that I have started building 4 wedding signatures for Crimson:
Lemony Fresh (yellow, white and green), polka dots, lemons and daisies, maybe wheatgrass, very fresh and cool
Tropical Punch (yellow, hot pink and orange) hot, hot, hot with some very different touches like paper flowers
Classic Yellow (black, white and yellow) a tad bit more formal but done with fun, southern lemonade (leaded and unleaded) as signature cocktail
Summer Stripes (yellow, turquoise and white) striped cabana over the bar and turquoise colored touches, maybe add some coral or green, ice pops (again leaded and unleaded

Her request was to combine Lemony Fresh and Classic Yellow (take out the green) so that might give you some more specific ideas. Creative Gurus, the last two signature boards I suggested were specifically with Crimson's wedding in mind.

Oh my goodnewss girls! LOVE LOVE LOVE EVERYTHING! Why do I have to choose? haha! I am part of their amazing family! *smooches* to them! Biz I absolutely LOVE the board you did but take out tangerine and sub torquoise? LOVE THE PAPER FLOWERS! The all yellow bouquet that Kelly posted that is it! That is exactly what I want my bouquet to be! Also I love the invitation that was in there!!!!!!!!!! Aunt Diane I think that we may have just really gotten the ball rolling. Hello! Hope everyone had a great Valentines day! Matt was very sweet to me! :) So yesterday we had the opportunity to go look at Bridle Creek and Matt and I both loved it! So looks like that is where we will be having the wedding and reception. We stayed up all night Saturday looking for different possible places and no one has what we want/need. So now that, that is settled after talking to Matt about colors and showing him what you all had come up with here he HATES the yellow and the picnic basket idea. I don't know if anyone has been watching the olympics but Matt loves the blues and greens on there and throw in some pink for me! I think that we can definately do those colors?!?!? What do you guys think? Also Aunt Diane BC said they do not have linens but have some vendors that they recommend who will drop them off and pick them up. Also if we use their bartender then we will no have to purchase the liquor insurance. Oh and the $400 set up and clean up only includes set up of chairs and tables and cleanup of table, chairs, taking trash out and cleaning the kitchen. So lets see what we can come up with the new colors :) You girls are amazing!

What if we take out pink, because it is not something I MUST have. What about bright torquise blue, bright green and black? Then to still have my daisies as flowers I can have them all white since I have not seen any blue or green daisies?

I don't know if I would add daisies into the mix of colors, but you could do something like gebera daisies that come in a TON of different, bright colors :shrug2:

LOVE the idea of the centerpieces :yes: And gerberas TOTALLY come in both green and bright blue! (again, watch the price though!)

I just had a thought - not to try to change your color scheme, but when your Aunt posted a link of Bridle Creek, I noticed there's a LOT of wood (funny thing :lol:) What if you changed your base color to chocolate brown instead of black? I personally think it would look better with all the wood that's around, and bring out the beauty of the building :shrug2:

What's the problem you're experiencing with posting?

I'll search the forums, but there's a lot of ways to cut costs in a wedding - if you know a seamstress you could have the dresses made, or you might be able to find something in a department store (brown is the new black :lol:) I'm just thinking that your wedding site is SO pretty, the brown might do a better job of blending in, and bringing it all together :)

I think removing the pink is a fabulous idea! Chair covers run about $2-3 each plus a chair tie so that adds a lot of expense to your budget.

You can always dye white daisies or tulips. The night before the wedding, stick the flowers in water with green or blue food coloring. You could also use the green & blue water as part of your centerpieces.

Tulips are out of season so cost goes way up. White daisies would be pretty and simple but I would put them on a white tablecloth with a colored overlay, either the blue or the green. Not those shiny satin ones, though- some soft and sheer, I think.

Yeah, we had a long conversation last night and got some stuff nailed down. :kimgrill: The only black will be the honor attendants' dresses and tuxedos/suits. White tableclothes to match the white chairs. I already have a ton of turquoise overlays so she might try to work that as part of the blue family.
