DF and I are going to a bridal expo next weekend. I know to bring address labels so I don't have to fill a million forms out, but I have no idea how many I'll need. Does anybody have an idea? I don't mind making a few extra, but I don't want to be stuck with a whole bunch of them. If it matters, we're going to this one (http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CBYQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bridalshowexpo.com%2F&rct=j&q=chicago+bridal+expo&ei=nzMcTKuOMYzrnQe9tdj0DQ&usg=AFQjCNEJS0mxINdXOCVdKGhKb-WPypoKpA).

Also, what information are the vendors looking for? I'm thinking my name, address, phone number (I'm using the home phone number that we never use, because I don't want them calling me all the time), my secondary email (used to sign up for things), and the tentative wedding date. Does that sound good?

Anything else I should know, other than to wear comfy shoes and maybe bring a notebook?

Thanks in advance :)

I wouldn't take more than 40 address labels. If you run out, you can always do it the old fashioned way and fill them out by hand. You might also take a camera in case you see something wonderful that you want to remember. (Ask the vendor first though.) Have fun!

The address lables are a great idea

As for what else to bring, along with Mel's idea of a notebook, also make sure you have somwhere to keep business cards for each vendor that you're interested in, as well as a list of types vendors you need (for instance, you might already have flowers, but need cake, etc.) and questions you think of ahead of time to ask different vendors as well (like how much will it cost for cake to feed all your guests, or how many hours of transportation is included in a package).

Good luck! :) I LOVE bridal expos!!

Thanks for all the advice. So far, we don't have any vendors at all, so I hope we find some good ones! Maybe I can get some ideas of prices for things like flowers that I've considered doing myself, and find out if it's worth it for what I want. I'll find something to store business cards in, rather than just toss them in my bag with no sort of organization at all, like I usually do :)

maybe you can find a notebook with a little pocket or something in it, to keep everything together....
i had a separate little bag i kept my journal/calendar of planning stuff in, which was helpful overall for me... that way whenever i met with vendors, i knew if i had that bag i had everything i needed

I ordered one of those wedding planners today, so maybe it'll be here in time. If it's not, I'll bring a Ziploc or something, and transfer everything over when it comes. I love the internet, because things are so much cheaper, but I get so antsy waiting for delivery!
