Hey All! I am starting to work on our guestlist for the wedding and wanted to do an excel speardsheet (or something like it) to organize things like the names addresses, number of invitations, RSVP's, gifts and thank-you's....

I am not the most savvy person with excel so I was hoping you all could let me know how you set yours up? What did you do to keep everything organized!?! :)

Another question...is there a way to alphbetize the entire list? Say, not just one column or row, but the entire thing so that all the information moves when it is alphabetized?? :)

Beth, click the very top left cornor of the spreadsheet so that the entire sheet is hightlighted. Across the top of the screen is a tool bar. Click on "Data" and choose "sort"

Choose the column you want it to sort by, make sure there is a check part in front of "Ascending" and "Header Row" and click okay.

It should resort the entire page :)

I searched for Microsoft templates...then when I got to the page, I searched for guest list...and this (http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/results.aspx?Scope=TC&Query=guest+list) is what it shot back at me - can't check them out here at work, so I hope something is suitable for you!

Are you better in Access? I used that to keep everything in order. But I just like databases better, better report options.

Had my guestlist been larger I would have just excel for a database and then printed it out through word... there are a plethora of ways you can do this.

HELP! I tried to download the Excel "Wedding Guest Template" from Microsoft.com, but everytime I do so, Excel "generates errors" and closes itself before I can save the template. Argh! :banghead:

Can someone email me a template that you have saved on your computer?

Thanks so much!!
~Melissa :)

I had never thought of using Excel, but that's an awesome idea! I'm definitely going to use it!
