After I got off work at noon I went over to my MOH's house and we went to get our toes and nails done. That was a very relaxing time. That was mainly the only thing that happened.

Friday August 4, 2006

I got up at 6 AM to go eat breakfast with my grandfather. After that I went back to my parents house and picked up some stuff to drop off at the church. Maggie (BM) met me there to help! She is such a good bridesmaid. We left the church at 10:30 and we met back at my apartment and got ready for the luncheon. The luncheon went really well. It was over at about 1:30. After the luncheon we went back to the apartment to go ready for the rehearsal. I got a call from Jacob saying the church set up all the tables for 6 people and his mom did not have enough table clothes. So I had to call the church and get them to move some of the chairs around. The rehearsal and dinner went great.

Saturday August 5, 2006
7:30 AM I woke up to get ready for the big day. After I got out of the shower my MOH and BM got ready.
8:45 AM We left to go get our hair done.
9:15 AM we got our hair done. We were in different rooms. But, once they got their hair done they came and joined us.
10:30 AM went to get our makeup done. They took forever to get my MOH make up done. I had to tell the girl to hurry!
11:30 We left to head to the church we picked up the flowers on the way to the church.
11:50 we arrived at the church. We hung out and dressed the flower girl, the BM's got dressed. Then the photographer arrived for me to get dressed.

I have a bad memory and we worked on it together! He wanted to help. We have the whole honeymoon! Here we come Jamaica!

ONce the photographer arrived it all a blur to me. I remember some things. Two of my BM's were not present while I was getting ready. Now that I think about it they were not there much on the wedding day at all. They were Jacob's two cousins i wasn't that close to them but, it was important that they be part of our wedding.

At least I had 4 of my girls there with me. I thought it was going to be hard getting into my dress, but it was pretty easy. Both my step-mom and Mom were nice on the day. Once I was dressed we sat around in the room waiting for the guys to take their pictures.

After about 10 minutes the girls and me went to take pictures. By, the time we were done with this set up pictures I was already tiered of smiling.

The parents had got together and brought food for us to munch on. However, it was near the guys so I send the flower girls mother to get me some.

Before the ceremony started the coordinator got all of the girls out of the room and left me alone!! That was when I started to get nervous! But, luckily my dad came and joined me! Then it was our turn to leave the room. We stood beside the door waiting for everyone to walk down the isle. The flower girl and ring bearer both made it fine. Then my dad and me realized that we forgot to put my veil over my head.

Next the coordinator closed the doors and we got in place. Then I heard the 3 chimes and it was time for my entrance!!!! I had so many emotions at this time. Jacob said I looked scared but, I was really trying to hold back the tears and I get ugly faces when I do this. The ceremony seemed to breeze by.
I remember Jacob helping me up the stairs by grabbing part of my dress. I remember that I did not know when to get my MOH my bouquet. She kind of just took it from me. I remember thinking as we were saying our vows “man these are some long vows that we picked out!”.

The lighting on the unity candle went great. The wax was really hot on the smaller candles!

Once we began to walk out I was not nervous anymore. But, my neck was very splotchy. I get that way when I am nervous of upset. We then waited outside the side door for everyone to leave the church. I had 3 of the girls fanning my neck to try to get the splotchy spots away. It the first few pictures my neck it a little red.

After about 600 picture it feels like we headed to the reception site. I was kind of worried that the limo driver would not show up since he didn’t take a deposit or anything and he was kind of booked at the last minute. But, he was there.

As we heading to the limo the flower girl grabbed my hand and walked out with us. Then she asked her mom “can I ride with Christina and Jacob” and her mom told her that she didn’t think it would be a good idea. But, Jacob and me snuck her any anyways! She got to hold my bouquet in the limo.

Once we arrived at the reception site the DJ greeted us. He then limed us up for our entrance. We could not find the ring bearer anywhere. So the flower girl walked in with the Ashley and her Fiancé. She was scared at first but Ashley gave her bouquet to her to carry in. Then she was willing to walk in.

Then the DJ started to announce everyone. I think we were supposed to cut across to the dance floor but, we took the long way around. Our first dance was perfect. Then everyone joined us in dancing during part of the song. After our first dance was over we let the way through the buffet line. My MOH and her Fiancé were right behind us. The food was so good. About 125 showed up out of 150. At least we didn’t have to pay per head. After a little bit people started to leave so we moved everything up a little bit.

At this point NO ONE was on the dance floor then the song my girl came on and I grabbed the flower girl and danced with her. I mean someone has to get people out there! Then more and more people started dancing.

The dance with my dad was great. We talked most of the time to keep from crying.

We then had the cake cutting but before that the Dj had Jacob place his hand on top of mine. Then he said “This is the last time that you will have the upper hand in the relationship”. Then everyone laughed. None of the girls had heard of the Charm Pull but they all loved it. Jacob was very good during the cake cutting nothing got on my face.

The flower girl wanted to dance with everyone. She would leave me alone. But, she was so cute. The ring bearer was the life of the party he kept brake dancing.

After a while of mingling I though the bouquet, my friend Jennifer caught it. She is getting married next year. Jacob’s cousin Daniel (GM) caught the garter. Which he later told us he put it around his mirror in his car.

Most of our family stayed at this point of the wedding. We were all out of the dance floor. And Jacob gave me such a hard time during the planning process about dancing must have caught a dancing bug like dolphincc said her husband did. He wouldn’t stay off the dance floor.

The bubbles didn’t work out as planned they were blowing every direction. But, we were still able to walk through some of them. The second I got in the limo I started crying and I mean crying a lot. Jacob thought I was second-guessing everything. No I was just so happy and that I had held them in all day.

Over all the day was great. The reception ended a little sooner then expected by an hour.
