For those of you listing your parents on your invites, did you also name your step parents? My step parents have been in my life forever BUT if I include my 4 parents plus my fiance's parents...that just seems like a lot of lines and wording. What have you done? I'm using DIY invitations (http://www.mygatsby.com/diy.html) so I can basically do whatever I want...no restrictions from a printer. But need help!

Example:
Mr & Mrs Brian Smith
and
Mr. & Mrs R. David Yoder
request your presence at the marriage ceremony of their daughter
Shelly
to
Brian
the Son of
Mr and Mrs John Carpenter

Help!

I personally would include step-parents, especially if they've been in your life for a long time.

I would do just like you put it. I've seen that on an invitation before.

Looks great! I think it's a great way to include everyone!

I think the wording looks fantastic. :aok: The ONLY other thing I would suggest is putting "Along with their parents" after you list your name and his instead, but then I don't know if it has the same formality you're going with for your invitation.

It depends really on who is paying for it. If you are then its Bride and Groom request with no mention of the parents but as it looks like everyone is chipping in and it is a recession then what you have said is perfect.
