You'll need to change Social Security first. For most items, especially your driver's license, passports and banking accounts, you will probably need to provide your SS card along with your marriage license.

They changed it in Texas -- you change your name on your TX Drivers license first! My friend told me not to make that mistake, haha.

I had a question about the Passport -- do they just re-issue you one with your new name or do you basically apply for an entirely new one? Anyone?

As scary as this list is, which is going to differ from person to person, but I have already been asking at different places about what I need to change my name. And have been making a list of what I need and everything. This way when the time comes I can just go do it and not be way layed cause I don't know whats going on.

I think that we have the raw end of the deal cause we have to change everything and the men don't. But what we can do. Alls I know is that I get a new picture on my drivers after I get married, which will rock cause I hate my photo now.
