Wow.... That's an interesting motif for a wedding.... I don't think it's what I would have used, but honestly... I don't think it looks altogether bad, either. I just think that using that pattern as part of the train was a little bit much... but the rest of it looked pretty classy.

And it's not even *real.* I mean, where do you draw the line? Unless she bought a bunch of scarves or something and patched them all together, she's not going to be able to just by real LV fabric anywhere. Gross.

While this is true, how many of us brides buy designer knock-offs of dresses? Lots that's for sure!

I do think it's overkill, I mean, she even used it to decorate her pews! It's not creative for me, it's one idea used over and over again.

Jaci, I see your point, but somehow when it's a NON wedding designer and as iconic (and widely knocked off) as LV, it just makes it tacky. I can pick out a knockoff LV bag from a block away, but I'll be damned if I can pick out a Maggie knockoff!

As a very smart woman from another board said:
I was thinking about it and I just don't know. Maybe some relative called the bride and said "Hey Laura, I know you're marrying Victor and I have all this suitcase lining left over..."

I just don't know.

Strange choice of fabric. I would actually like that dress from the waist down if it were like a solid red or something instead of the printed brown. But I guess if she was happy with it to each her own.

You all are to nice to say what you are really feeling. I will. I think it looks ugly. I had to say it. I am sorry if the bride that it is in the photo comes on here, but I think it is ugly. There is just too much of that cheap fabric everywhere. OVERKILL.

Yes, abit overtop but I liked it very much!

Very unique and different and maybe giving her the benifit of a doubt, she might of known someone who helped her get the material(real), and or she might have the money for it.

We don't know this for sure do we??????

The gown is okay with it, but to do the cake and everything else was kind of out of my range. But,its her wedding and we all did or is doing something uniquely different.

Actually, I'm the one who said that, at BBB. But it's ok, we can share, it's not copyrighted yet .

ut-oh....

:girlfight:

 Future mrs. ray raises a very valid point about not knowing if she actually had the money for the real fabric or not, and also about wanting to be unique... alot of us here are trying to acheive the uniqueness factor.

still, imHo, its still OVERKILL.
