Hello everyone, I am not sure if this is the correct area or not. But what I am looking for is the items that go into the 911 kits that a lot of you ladies are giving to your bridesmaids or having available that day to them.
Tanya does not have a computer avaialble today and I am trying find a list of things that can go into them but I am having troubles, so any help you ladies can give me, I would very much appreciate it!!
Thanks in advance!

The four most indespensable things I had in mine (that I actually used) was the mini scissors in the mini sewing kit, and the Tide to Go pen.Plus breath mints (make sure they are peppermint, it helps settle nervous tummys) and TYLONAL!!!!!

The tide to go pen was one of the big things for us - we had shout wipes and bleach pens too - the tide pens worked best!!!!! We had one in our car at another wedding and it came in handy there as well :)

I used them on my wedding gown and then at another wedding - the flower girl's satin gown and they were fine. I also used them on someones organza dress to get lipstick out and countless non wedding clothes and they were perfectly safe and didn't leave any marks! I love them :)

No problem!! If you're worried still about using them (or anything else) on your dress... Just try them out somewhere on the dress you won't be able to see.. under the train or on the back of a hem or something :)

I've never used those pens before at all. Funny tho that at the fair the other day I saw a lady cleaning up a spaghetti sauce spot on her tshirt. It made me think of this thread and I got to see the product in action- I was amazed! Product sold itself. woo hoo! ty carrie

ITA, they are amazing....I have always had truoble with other stain wipes that don't remove all of the stain, but the Tide pen really works.

I've seen those shout wipes- are they the wipes you are talking about?

Yes, the shout wipes, and I think there were others, but I don't remember the brands, LOL. I never pay much attention unless it is a brand I really like.

My mom bought me one of these for my last wedding at a stationary shop (of all places!) and we barely used it. I'll look in there and see what's in it - if there's anything in there different from what's been reported here.
The Tide To Go pen is a good idea. Think I'm going to stick one of those in there!

I remember when I used to do theater tournaments in high school (we would be all dressed up and sometimes in coustume), the coaches would always have two HUGE boxes of 911 stuff. And no, you didn't necessarily use 99% of the items in them on any given day, but the one thing that you did need was always there! I will probably have a huge box of stuff in my mom's car, and if we need anything, then it'll be there, but we don't have to lug it around.
Incidentally, with all this talk of the tide to go pens. Do they work on colored garments, or do they have bleach in them? My dress is lt. gold, and I'm wondering what I should do if I get something on it?

Honestly, it IS a lot to carry, but you can always leave it in a tupperware kit in your car... You don't necessarily need it RIGHT BESIDE you at all times, but somewhere where it's easily accessable!
I usually include a needle and thread in just the 3 (or 4) main colors - Wedding dress, tux, and BM dresses!

I have heard it is safe on color but you would want to wash the garmet within a normal amout of time after using...but I could be wrong because I never have used one

I didn't really bring much for a 911 kit. I did use my sewing kit, but not for anything wedding related. I had a button pop off of something and was glad I could sew it back on before I lost it.
I actually got use out of my mini first aid kit. The hoop on my hoop skirt broke and I mended it back to last through the reception with some of those fabric super strong bandaids

I got pasta sauce on my gown the day of the wedding and shout wipes took it right off :D

It is a lot of stuff. I actually had a Rubbermaid tote full of my emergency stuff that I kept in the changing room at the church and then hid in a backroom at the reception. I used NONE of it, but I'll tell you that it really reduced my stress knowing that, if anything went wrong, I was prepared. Murphy's law is that if I hadn't had that tote, I would have needed something.
