Hi. Is anyone planning to wear or has worn a veil at a beach wedding ? Is this a really bad idea with the sea breeze ? I'd love to wear a veil but I'm just not sure if it will be too much hassle to keep it under control. I wondered if anyone had found a way of keeping it under control. Maybe a longer veil with finger loops to keep it down ?

The beach weddings i have been to the girls wore about fingertip veils and they did fine.

you could also use miniture weights sewn into the veil hem.. you can get clear ones that sparkle.. and they do look quite nice..and if you are having a decorated veil they would fit right in.

i was thinking about a veil, but i think im going to go with flowers placed in my hair. i think it will be easier to manage.

I had an ocean breeze and a veil... walking down the aisle it didn't cooperate but during the vows the wind was in my face and it was fine. Wish I had known about the weights or longer length... ohwell... all's well that ends well :D

I have also heard that you can spraypaint fishing weights and attach them to the veil

I've seen plenty of pictures of beach brides wearing veils! So it can be done. If you really want one I would talk to the bridal shop or whatever and see if they can provide someway of keeping it from flying around everywhere.

I would say go for it! There are so many things you can do to keep it down so it isn't blowing everywhere :)

Also, you may want to consider a birdcage veil...there is a thread on them.
