ebay vs. jewelry store

Okay, so with a little help from Kristie, I found my wedding band on ebay...for about $600.; at the jewelry store : $2000

so, what's the catch?
That would save us a lot of money...but I am not comfortable with buying from ebay...

anyone buy their ring from ebay? have you brought it into a jeweler for appraisal?

should i worry about warrenty, etc?

I was going to buy our ring set off ebay since it was indentical to the set in the store. But they wanted like $50.00 more plus whatever the cost of shipping.

We bought ours from walmart and used the lay a way plan while the ebay seller isn't going to let me do lay a way.

Walmart didn't issue me any kind of warranty so I could of bought my jewerly off ebay if I would of had all the money up front.

If I found a ring set on ebay I liked and couldn't get it cheaper elsewhere.. There is a 95% chance I would give it a shot on ebay.

In the jewellers it costed $300 but we got it for $25!! :D

I just bought another things from e-bay (AND just recieved 3 items in the mail this week)

We bought our bands off ebay. At Kay Jewelers, they were $199 each. On ebay, we got them for $25 for the pair. (Plus $10 shipping/handling, but no 9.25% sales tax -- we saved about $400.)

You will get good options to buy quality fine diamond jewelry at an affordable and cheap price from various auction websites. But you will need to be cautious while buying these jewelry as you need to have information such as diamond certificate if you are buying a diamond jewelry.

I will also suggest that you check the reviews and feedback of the store or a seller before buying a jewelry. You can also participate in discussion before paying for your product.
