I'm from a small town in NE Iowa, and I lived in the Iowa City area for 5 years as well. :bliss: I miss Iowa, even though I thought I'd never ever say that!

I'm another girl from Iowa but have moved. I grew up just south of Iowa City. My parents still live there. I also have a sister in Cedar Rapids and another in North Liberty. I'll probably be going back this fall to go dress shopping with them. Any good dress shops in Iowa City or Cedar Rapids?

The only shops I know of around there are Hope's Bridal Boutique (take Hwy 30 west out of Cedar Rapids - it's a big pink barn on the right side of the road about 10-15 miles out of CR), and there's one in North Liberty on the road that comes off I-380 - I don't remember what it's called. Oh, and there's Celebrations on the strip in Coralville. And there's a David's Bridal on Collins Rd. in Cedar Rapids, but that's nothing special. :)

Lisa, where do your parents live? DH grew up in Kalona and his mom still lives there. :)

Lacie, that is where I'm from. Graduated from good old Mid-Prairie High. My mom works at JW's has for years so if he, like lots of high school kids worked there he would know her. I also have a little sister who is 20 so he might know her. I'm sure I'm way to old for him to know. I'll PM you my last name.

I sent an email to my mom and little sister. The last name is very familiar to all of us. Dad is better at remembering who people are so maybe he will help her place them. I'm sure Courtney and Chris know each other then. Let's see, when did she graduate? 2004 I think.

Chris graduated in 2004 as well. It's kind of funny - one of DH's brothers is named Courtney. :lol: He graduated in 2001, DH graduated in 1998, and his older bro Jeff graduated in 1995. :)

Lisa: Definitely check out Celebrations Bridal in Coralville. I looked at dresses there and ended up purchasing my dress through Celebrations in Davenport....they are great people to work with there! :)
