The Sagamore. We used to work together and some people from my dept. went to the Sagamore for a conference (amazing!!!!!!). I met him at that time, since he was at the conference. I was new so I had not yet met that many people.

The Sagamore is beautiful. And expensive! I thought about them for a reception place. My mom used to work there when I was much younger. Too bad she still doesn't!

I grew up in Northern New York, in a small city called Ogdensburg. We were right on the Canadian border - and that is where I am getting married :)

FH grew up in Tupper Lake, even more UP state then Lake George :), his family still lives up there and he still owns a house there. We considered having the wedding up in the mountains somewhere. Sometimes I wish we were, it is so beautiful up there.

I'm not an upstate bride but I wanted to pop in here and congratulate all of you who are. My parents grew up in Lake George and some of my family still lives there or near there so I go up there usually about twice a year. :)

Yes, the mountains are so beautiful. Our reception site is right on the lake. It has these big, panoramic windows and all you can see is water and these big, beautiful mountains! It really is breathtaking!

We drive through Lake George when we go to Tuppper Lake. We've always talked about spending a weekend there but have just never gotten it done.

Your reception site sounds amazing. Any pictures of it?

You should stay there sometime! You'd really love it.

I do have pics, but they are on the camera still and FH is up in Canada right now with the camera. I'll post them in my journal sometime next week.

So.... where did you book your reception site?

- - - -

I grew up in Hudson Falls - right outside of Lake George. Literally, it is where the Hudson River - falls. I got married in HF, and had my reception in Queensbury. :)

Hi Jen,

We booked at The Georgian. Our church is Sacred Heart in LG.

Not sure if you remember me, but we chated a whole bunch on UW and you were always curious if I was engaged yet! Finally am! We chated a bunch about different vendors in the area and you gave me the LakeGeorgeweddings.com.

Yep.... I totally remember you (just not your first name - its funny how usernames become so engraved in your head! ) - that is why I asked. ;)

The Georgian will be beautiful in June - the view of the lake is stunning from those large windows!

Hey Jen- It will be beautiful! So, excited! I have pics from when I went to meet with the wedding coordinator. They're in my wedding journal. Of course, lights were off, and it wasn't set up for a wedding because we went on a Monday! I still LOVE the view!
