We've had a few people offer to volunteer as CLs, which is so generous and greatly appreciated! We thought we would provide a bit of insight into CLdom. :)
CL is short for Community Leader. Community Leaders are the members of MustLoveWeddings that help with the day to day operation of the community. They can close,move and edit threads, edit user names and various other moderation tasks. In addition, CL's are the people that guarantee that the boards remain a safe, positive experience for all members by ensuring that all rules are being observed.
Members become Community Leaders by invitation. Basically, when things get a little too busy for the current CL's to keep up, we then discuss who to ask to join the team. An ideal CL is someone who posts in a variety of forums, is helpful to other members, and knows the rules and tries their best to follow them.
We aren't currently looking for any CLs, only because things aren't very busy right now; however, we have started a list of people who have come to us offering to help. From that list, we'll sometimes choose people to help with specific activities or projects, or yes, to become our next CLs.
