Probably the programs...they are pretty much ready to go, I have the template all made up and the covers already done...I just need to figure out who is still going to be in the BP, what music is going to be played at the ceremony and then print them out and assemble them.

Having all 5 of my girls, my mom, grandma, aunt, FG, FMIL with me at the salon..we are taking over! :lol2: And I'm bringing the mimosas :) Then after we have our hair done we are going back to my parents' house to have lunch...hopefully that will be relaxing!

We are going up north to Duluth, MN. It's about 2 1/2 hours north of us. It will just be a relaxing week, and then in 2007 we will be going somewhere very warm!! :)

We're having a brunch at the hotel with our OOT guests and bridal party. Then we're having a small gift opening get together at my parents' house (just immediate family). After that we'll head up to Detriot to stay the night so we can leave at 6:50am (oi) on Monday for Mexico :bliss:

My parents are hosting a light brunch and gift opening at the hotel for family, close friends and any OOT guests that decided to stay overnight. Then we have to load up our vehicles and drive the hour home. We have to pack, go to bed early as we leave for our honeymoon the next day! The drive to the airport will take 2 hours so we have to leave late mroning.

We just sorted out our favour order - the sparklers were fine but they had a problem with the monogram on the matchbooks. We need to check up on our arrangements with the caterer, florist and photographer. We also need to finalize our ceremony music this week.

I just finished part of the favors (little tin pails that I added raffia and sea shells to). I can't complete them until September since they are potpourri and don't want them to loose their smell. I started adding ribbon to the match boxes for the sparklers. Just sent the invites out yesterday, which were all diy pocketfolds.

The only thing I worked on this week was getting the invites ready to be sent. I ended up reprinting all of our invites...again for the 4th time. But now they are all stamped, sealed and ready to be sent. I decided that I'm going to send them out the middle of next week. That way we split the different of what everyone wants....plus I just want to get them out of my hands before something else happens to them! LOL!

I haven't completed the ladies gifts yet. I have a tote but no monogram, tshirts but no rhinestones, and stones but no necklaces. :\

All of my girls are staying at my house the night before the wedding, we will get up, get ready, get our hair done, I'm so excited to have everyone there together.

Not so sure yet. I'd love to have something for the OOT guests to get together and stuff, but we haven't planned anything just yet. We are heading to a bed and breakfast in north central Minnesota for two nights, but we don't have to leave until 2 or so.

I just got my invites out, now I really am not working on much as far as wedding related stuff goes.

I bought a bottle of Rit Dye

Followed Directions to wash in the washing machine. Then I did 2 rinse cycles to make sure it ran clear. Washed ONE time in soap with an extra rinse cycle.

Then immediately ran ANOTHER cycle with the machine EMPTY with BLEACH and SOAP to clean my machine.

My crinoline is going to have to be dyed again..It turned out more PINK than red.. I will let it sit longer this time..

I didn't put in the dryer.. After i ran thru a wash/soap cycle and the machine was done. I laid on the floor in our spare bedroom and shut the door. (to keep our kittens out).

We are in the process of getting the ceremony pounded out with the minister, the invitations put together with one of the Bridesmaids (she volunteered to take them to her house and do them), and getting the last bits of the outfits. What's next?? Lord only knows!! Most of us are waiting until after the Ren Faire is over before we move onto bigger projects.

Last night I tied bubbles, we got almost all of them done before running out of ribbon, so I have to soon go buy more. Next I'll be cutting out the tulle for putting our favors in, after that who knows, maybe we'll start the favors, since it's just shortbread, and shortbread freezes really well. I've also got to finish my BM's gifts (iron-on tshirts and monogram totes), work on centerpieces (they are ready for assembly, just need to put them together).

I guess I really don't have a whole lot to do, now it's just get the little details figured out...oh! We still have to figure out some music!

Sara - I teach 4th grade. I'm starting my 14th year in 2 weeks. (I taught 4th grade for 2 years, got moved to 1st for 1 year (that was my year of insanity), then I returned to 4th grade where I've been ever since) I'm contemplating going back to school to get my Masters. I'd like to do Instructional Technology or something like that that would eventually get me OUT of the classroom and doing something district wide.... That would be awesome!

Wow! That's an impressive title! What types of things do you do with a Doctorate in that field? How long will it take you to complete it? Was it as tough as you thought it would be? (I'm weighing the pros and cons of getting mine so personal experiences are always appreciated! :laugh3: )

No problem - it's a business degree. A lot on leadership development, change management, organizational excellence, etc. I use it for business process redesign, consulting and knowledge management in my full-time work. I'm taking 3 months off for the wedding but I plan to do about a paragraph a day in the first 3 chapters of the dissertation to keep me on track leading up to my return in Novmeber. Then I have a year to complete two more general courses, having the research proposal approved, performing the study, writing the last two chapters and then defending the whole thing. I started in May 2004 so I've been pretty agressive. Honestly, it's been really tough and I am pretty burnt out right now. I am even questioning why am I doing the degree at this point!

Right now I'm playing the waiting game on response cards. I need to get my TY's made and sent for the shower. Plus finish up making the TY's for the wedding. Print off the inserts for the programs and have my hair trail on the 19th. Hopefully my dress will be in soon...they said 2 weeks last week.

Let's see.. .where should I begin! We have a very busy week ahead of us! Everything is bought/made for the wedding except for one bouquet I need to get finished for the pew decorations (I've just been lazy). After that it's all those little things... like decorating the church and reception sites, picking up my dress and his tux, having a rehersal, the RD etc. etc. etc....

Patiently...hahah, yeah right Steph :P Just about as patiently as I am!

So we've gotten our music figured out! It feels like such a relief to mark that off on my to do list. We sent in the music list to our DJ last night, and then today I got the ceremony music coordinated (and it's working out way better than I planned and I just can't say how relieved I am...visit my journal for more information).

I received another RSVP today. Just one though, I was going throuhg and I realised some of the major players haven't RSVP'd, like my dad, my grandparents, FH's parents. *sigh*

EEsh--we have a LOT to do in the next couple of weeks! I've already designed our invites, so we're waiting for the materials to get in so I can print them all off and get them in the mail. That is going to be one heck of a project. I still need to get Chad's ring and figure out what's going on with our cake! I have so much to do and it feels like I have NO time to do it.

I am going slowly... My friend tells me that she's got the invitations together and done so I'm excited about that. I bought some stuff today for one of my DIY projects, but I don't have everything for it. My wedding coordinator said she may be able to lay her hands on one of the objects I need, but she has to look in her garage. She also says she going to go to the Horseshoe shop tomorrow to get my horseshoe.

I'm kinda havin' a bit of a heart attack because I look at all we still have to pay for and go a little insane. The costs are WAY UP HERE and the money is way down here. Gonna have to figure something out quick though because alot of the stuff has to be ordered and ordered early. *sigh* Kids for sale... cheap!!

DJ, boy do I know exactly what you mean when you say that about cash. Thankfully I've gotten through the freaking out-heart attack-anxiety stress about the money, and I'm just rolling with it :P

For those of us who have gotten their RSVPs and dealt with all that, did you have a lot of people say "Well, we'll be at the ceremony for sure, but not the reception." I've had a couple of people say this to me. I hope they understand that if they change their mind, they won't be able to. I have told them if they wish to attend the reception they must tell me by August 20, so I can include them in my number, but gah!

I also had one person RSVP for someone else on their RSVP, even though that person wasn't invited on that invite...I had to email them and then when I explained to them why I emailed them (Because you weren't invited on that invite officially, etc) they got mad at me :(

Get a book people, read it, learn how to properly RSVP!

We have gotten a lot of RSVP's (deadline is Sunday) but not nearly enough...plus I think my online guestlist doesn't count them correctly. We've really only had 6 people RSVP "no" but three of the "yes" people aren't coming to the reception.

Our RSVP deadline is Wed 8/23 .. Less than a week away.

We have gotten MAYBE half of our RSVPs back..

A few people say they are coming but we haven't gotten their cards back yet.

We are currently at 40 people..but look for possibly for 50 to maybe show that didn't RSVP .

I sent the cards out on July 1st !!

I hate non-RSVP'ers. They suck. Seriously, whats the point to buying all those damn stamps if no-one'es going to use them? For anyone who hasnt sent invites yet, I say send email invites. People might actually respond to those. (@$%#*!!!!)

But besides that... Two More Weeks! Two More Weeks! And our appointment to get the marriage license is tomorrow morning! :)

I've gotten maybe a third back and the RSVP date is tomorrow. I'll probably be following up via telephone next week. We didn't put stamps on the RSVP envelopes - only a telephone # and the website RSVP tool. I'm glad we did it that way!

My RSVP date is a week tomorrow and I still have to hear back from about 80 people! And I sent out STDs to everyone! Sheesh. :rolleyes:

Well, it's looking better today than it did yesterday. Yesterday there was a 60% chance of rain on both Friday (outdoor rehearsal) and Saturday (outdoor ceremony). Today it's just partly cloudy on Friday and a 40% chance of rain on Saturday.

I can deal with a 40% chance! I could deal even better with a 20%!
