Did you do them? What program did you use?

Can you post pics?

Well I had planned on doing more than one but I only ended up doing one :lol2: I sent it out at the nine month mark. I used Word to make mine :)

I did one, well, two actually. We did one last November at the 11 month mark (just so people would have a heads-up and would know what was going on). I did another one back in April that had more detailed information. I just created something simple in MS Word (sorry, it's not saved anymore!!).

I realized...

I didn't even answer my own question! I made ours in PowerPoint.

Your bridesmaids newsletters are so inspiring! I think I'll have to create one now, although I only have two attendants. Great job, ladies!

Jer and I just finished Issue 1 of Nuptial News :) I've printed them and hand-delivered the first few! The rest will be delivered/mailed the end of the month.

I created ours in Publisher. There are tons of templates already there and it's nice and easy to just fill in the information!

This first issue included some basic information - Introducing The Wedding Party, Meet The Parents, Let The Planning Begin, Girls Gab, Important Dates and Times... and some fun stuff too - Geeky Fun Facts (Jer and I started chatting before Google was born etc...), Website information, The Last Word (Jer's personal column ). Some of the information will stay in each issue of the newsletter - contact information for us and the parents and the rest of the bridal party, website information etc... But the next issue may have more information about tuxes etc..., so Jer will have an extra column to write :)

I've sent out one newsletter to my BMs so far. It was a pretty basic one, as the main purpose was to have them fill out the questionnaire so MIL and I could start on some of our projects for the BM gifts. I'm planning to get the next one sent out (to all of the WP) around the end of summer, and there will be more detailed information in that one.

I just used MS Word for this project.

I love the idea of a BP Newsletter. These are all really neat. With under 4 months to go, its probably too late for me to do one.

I have been sending out BP newsletters....but mine haven't been anything spectacular. I've just been buying cool paper and just printing up a letter on it....it gets the job done and its quick.

Aramelle, I love the idea of the questionnaire - do you have ideas that gave you the inspiration for the questions you asked?? Or just some way of knowing different things about them???

I would have liked to do newsletters, but we got married 5 months after we got engaged so I did other stuff like planning our wedding . My sister did newsletters with questionaires though, and I really liked it.

I think you ladies did a fantastic job! I was wondering, should I do a party newsletter now, as the timeline for the big day and stuff?

Kathy, sorry that I didn't see this until now. All of the questions I asked were geared toward the specific gifts we have planned. MIL and I are making a pair of jammies for each of the girls (which we will all wear while getting ready, so we'll match nicely in those pictures), which is why I asked for their sizes. Along with that, I plan to do a little gift basket with "spa" set. The snacks/beverages questions is because I want to make sure I have all of the girls covered for the day of while we're all hanging out and getting ready, and the flower question is because that's how I chose what flowers to have in our bouquets.

i have a little over a year before the wedding, but at the one year mark i am sending all my girls a little package, which will include a letter personalized to each of them, more saying how excited i am and honored i am that they have accepted my invitation to be a part of my wedding...then i am going to send them all one of those bridesmaid survival guides, a list of all the bridesmaids with contact information, a brief informational letter of what we have going so far, and maybe some fun stuff like chocolates or candy or beauty items, maybe little victoria secret goodies (i love them)

Oh boy I'm so uncreative. I just write an email to my MOH at the end of each month.

Okay, so I finally scanned our newsletter :) But well, the files are too large, so here are the links:

Page 1 (http://www.jerandkathy.com/kathy/UW_Photos/ISSUE1_PAGE1_MLW.JPG)

Page 2 (http://www.jerandkathy.com/kathy/UW_Photos/ISSUE1_PAGE2_MLW.JPG) (looks a little different from the others because the original went missing and I had to reprint with a printer that is out of ink )

Page 3 (http://www.jerandkathy.com/kathy/UW_Photos/ISSUE1_PAGE3_MLW.JPG)

Page 4 (http://www.jerandkathy.com/kathy/UW_Photos/ISSUE1_PAGE4_MLW.JPG)

And well, all of the newsletters were printed on purple paper before they were sent to the BP and parents! This was the original one that I printed to proof before printing a bunch!

Those look great, Kathy! I'm sure your WP was very impressed. I got a great chuckle out of the beginning of Jer's "Last Word."
