Mine turned out just the way I wanted it! Not bad considering I emailed a picture and said what I wanted different about mine! The ONLY thing I would have changed is the gold covered tray it's on. I wish they would have used good old aluminium foil. That was the only gold anywhere on my wedding day. All in all, I loved my cake. Caesars bakers did a fantastic job!

Thanks for posting this, I have to save it to my computer so I don't lose it again. Someone posted this cake on UW and I just fell in love with it. This is my inspiration pic. The only difference would be the colors, ours will be burgundy. I LOVE IT!!!

Our cake turned out perfect except that we totally forgot about the cake topper! luckily my florist was there and she remembered and I found the quaich at last minute and it all worked out and THEN it was perfect. I hope someone got a good picture of it. The words looked great also (FIL made them). I will post as soon as I get a picture of it!

Unfortunately, the baker I chose (because of great tasting cake and a FABULOUS price) doesn't work with fondant. So, we redesigned and came up with something simpler. At the reception we planned to have our wedding cake AND turtle cheesecake (my favorite). But this created a problem for me. I wanted a BIG traditional cake, but didn't need so much. So, my baker suggested making the bottom a "dummy" styrofoam layer. It was perfect. I got my big cake without all the leftovers:

The rose petals are from roses that Chris has given me over the year. I used them to decorate the table and the flower girls dropped those down the aisle.

It's a combination of two different cakes I used as my inspiration.

Thank you Jader. You know, it's kinda funny cause it's not like I am real patriotic at all. (I love the USA, and support our troops, thats about it for me though. LOL) I actually started my hope chest collecting amerciana items to decorate my living room in. I love fireworks and summertime, so it all just kind of came together from that. LOL I also like out of the ordniary things, and once I found that dress, it just worked for me.

I want to do my renewal service the exact oppiste of my wedding. Pink, Roses, Candles, Romantic. My wedding I wanted to be fun, and comfortable.

Honestly I didnt know what type of cake we are going to get till Thursday before the wedding as it was included in our reception so we didnt get to meet the cake lady till than. So my cake may have been my favourite thing about my wedding. And the thing I thought at the start I cared not at all about and was thisclose to not having a cake at all. Then in an act of frustration I googled Great Wall Cake topper (we got engaged on the Great Wall) and this is what I found

And that was it. We asked my friend if his Grandma who makes cakes might be up for it, she was. And we didn't give it much thought after that. I didn't see it before the reception. My sis was bustling me and I was SO TIRED. It was what got me in and this is what I came in to.....

It's not traditional, but it was SO US. I loved it loved it loved it. AND it was delicious. AND the second layer was my favourite kind of cake AND she didn't know that!

I don't think i ever posted cake pictures...my cake was small, sweet and exactly what I wanted. I told the baker that I wanted it to have a snow capped mountain feel to it without being too literal. I wanted snowflakes, but not too many. Only a few flowers (roses and blue orchids) and we had a specific precious moments cake topper that had to be used. Here was the result:
