I am having a monogram dress patch made for my wedding gown. I was under the impression that it was to have my maiden initials on it (I think I read that somewhere). The woman who is making it claims that most have their new mongram with FH initials on it. I'm not sure I want FH initials on my dress but on the other hand, it might look nice if everything matched as I am getting a garter and bouquet ribbon from her also.
I'm torn. What do you guys think??
Oh dear, this isn't an easy decision. Will the patch be seen on the dress? If not, I'd say go with your maiden initials, particularly for the garter (you know, tossing the garter, tossing your name, etc) but then again, if you were doing a monogram theme, you'd do the new monogram.
I think that I personally would go with the new monogram, with your and his initials.

I would use your new monogram for anything on the wedding day, what a nice idea!

I would go with the new monogram too......because that day it WILL be your monogram.
I like Jaci's idea to, though, that if the monogram isn't seen....tossong the garter tossing your name....I think that is such a cool idea!

Hmm, can you go with your new initials for the dress patch and old initials for the garter? I like Jaci's idea of throwing your old letters, and if invitations were in order, I would say not to use your new initials (since they are not your actual initials). I hope you can use both, I'm torn!
Yeah, what did you end up doing?
