Hi hi-
So I awoke... yes... and I got married... the end... right?!?! heheheh... okay... so this is how I started the day... well... okay... this was after I woke up, took a shower, my mommy brought me a mocha and we traveled across the street to the hair salon...

Rachel, Jung and Christina (the salon manager) were really nice and very helpful with ideas and jabs during the process. Rachel's been doing my hair for a while now, so she already knew what she was going to do with my hair. This is us playing around with some alternatives to make my hair a little better...

During that time we had to figure out a situation. Katie's boyfriend had dropped her and Kami (the best man essentially) off so we had one car and 6 people. After a bit we weren't going to have any cars because my mother can see to drive in the dark so we were going to have to drop her car off and take her with us to Shady Acres (the wedding site). I had handed my phone to Becca (the teenage photographer) and was making her answer it as well as handle phone calls. I told her to dial Michelle (the other bridesmaid) and talk to her since Michelle has two cars and nobody is using them but her since her husband is in Iraq. Okay... Mom and Katie leave to get the 2nd car and Michelle plans to come meet us at noon. Everybody's hair is almost done and Michelle gets to the salon... early! This is a shock since she's usually always late... She was suppose to do her hair at home because she didn't have the money to pay the salon... but she didn't... Now I start to freak a bit, but I do good to hold it in check... I talk to Rachel and get cut a deal and she takes a post-dated check for Michelle's hair since it's going to be a simple French Twist with some curls...
After that we went back to our apartment to get some last minute forgotten stuff... the extra silverware, the boy's kilt socks, my spare contacts, etc. I put everything on the table and tell people to grab stuff (keep that in mind by the way) as I'm heading out the door with the honeymoon luggage that Honey didn't take with him.
From there we split up. Michelle, Kami, Becca and Sidney (the flower girl) head to get the flowers and then go directly to Shady Acres. My mom heads to Costco to pick up the cakes and the deli trays and then to her house for us to get her. Katie and I head to Kinkos to pick up the programs and then to mom's house to get mom. We go to leave Kinkos and mom is calling me asking me what was on the 2nd cake... Costco had lost the order... fortunately it wasn't the cake with the writing on it... but I confirm the writing on the cake is correct... which it is...
We get to my mom's house before my mom (she had to wait for them to fix the cake problem) and I go inside to potty and see my step-mother. She is doing worse by the day and I honestly hope that she will still be there when I get home from my honeymoon. She grabs my hand, squeezes it tight and nods at me. The cancer is so bad she really isn't talking that much right now. I am tearing up as I tell her I love her and kiss her gently on the cheek.
Mom arrives and we pile everything into the car and head out to Shady Acres. Everyone is there, including Danny (my best man) and the costumes aren't. AJ (the minister) received word from the clothier that they wouldn't be there until 2pm. *sigh* We were suppose to have pictures done by 2:30... not gonna happen. Here's the ceremony site before everything that night...

Costumes finally get there... and we start getting ready. In the midst of all this somebody (I so don't know who) comes up and asks me where the guy's kilt socks are at. I tell that person that they were in Michelle's car that she came in with the spare silverware and my spare contacts. That person goes in search of said stuff. A little while later, AJ comes to ask me again where the stuff is at and if I knew what color bag the stuff was in. White bags and no I don't know where it was at. Michelle and Kami were suppose to grab that stuff. Michelle turns around (she's now in the room) and tells me that she didn't grab anything from the table, ask Kami if she did. *sigh* Kami didn't grab anything either. The kilt socks, my spare contacts and extra silverware are still sitting at home 45 minutes away. Scot (Katie's boyfriend) jets off for our house... He's a speed demon and doesn't care about getting a ticket... Meanwhile, getting ready continues... Kelley stays up with me to take the professional getting ready pictures, while Becca goes downstairs to get pictures with the boys... I don't have any pictures of me getting ready at this point... but I do have lots of the boys getting ready...
Danny getting ready with his wife's help since he could't get upstairs to where I was or downstairs to where the guys were...

Somewhere in there, and my mind is jumbled so I don't remember totally I remember everyone telling me that I needed to get ready. I can't get ready I tell them and nobody knows why but I do. Honey's grandmother hadn't arrived yet. I had a special present for her, but I couldn't get dressed until I gave it to her because I had to go downstairs I we didn't want many people seeing the dress before the wedding. Finally, Trudy gets there and I go downstairs to give her the necklace. It's called the 'Heart of Romance' pendant and is totally beautiful. She cries, I cry and the photographer takes lots of pictures... I will insert picutres when I get more...
So, I go back upstairs and now I'm ready to get dressed. In the meantime we realize that the necklace I bought is too small for my neck and then pendant won't fit on the necklace that I already have. So Katje calls Dean, her boyfriend, and he comes up to fix the necklace situation. In the menatime I finish getting ready and finally get everything on that I need. Karen comes up and ties up the dress all the way and Dean gives me the fixed necklace... All ready to go...
Finally Scot gets back with the socks and the boys get ready fully... AJ lines us girl up upstairs and lines the boys up downstairs... I find out this part later, but I guess while the guys were waiting to go, they all looked at each other, smiled and then dropped their drawers tucking them safely into their sporrans... *OMG* I was mortified when I learned this...
About 30 seconds before I'm to go down the stairs it hits me... 'OMG!' I stammered outloud... everyone on the stairs, at the same time, is like 'Too late now!' The girls go and then I'm standing at the top of the stairs alone... Monty, one of the housemates is there. He looks at me and asks if I'm going to be okay. I nod trying not to hyperventalate. He laughs and shakes his head at me.
The music starts for me to go down and I take a deep breath before turning the corner to go down the stairs. Everyone is looking up at me and I'm trying not to trip down the stairs. When I reach the front, Honey whispers that I'm beautiful, but we can't touch because of the way our ceremony works. So, finally we get close enough and his eyes get really big. 'What?' I whisper. 'I forgot my vows downstairs' he whispers back. 'You're screwed!' I whisper back to him.
After the sand ceremony I see my ring laying on the ground. When David came over to do the sand ceremony, the ring had come lose from the ribbon and feel on the floor. Katje comes over to do the handfasting and we whisper to her the two delimas. She pushes the ring over to Michael, who picks it up, and then after the handfasting rushes off to go get the vows. AJ, the minister, is oblivious to this situation all together until he asks if we are ready to exchange vows and Katje is rushing back up the aisle with the missing vows. Honey laughs and says 'I am now!'
Most of the ceremony is a blur, but I remember him reading his vows to me and me reading my vows to him and how I was trying hard not to cry. When he slipped the ring onto my finger, I became instantly warm. I know this was the right choice for us.
The reception, must like the ceremony, was a blur as well. The bells... they were a bad idea... you know those 'ring the bell for a kiss' things... Oh God... If I hear another bell ringing it will be all too soon... I think we kissed more that day than we have any other day. We had fun though and were totally happy but exhausted. I will post pictures as soon as I have them back from the photographer.
TTFN...
