Bruce and I had our 4 year anniversary on March 16, 2006 but we were unable to celebrate the day of because of school and work schedules (he did take me to Burger King for lunch). We planned to celebrate on Saturday March 18. I was pretty sure he was going to propose and we were teasing each other Friday night trying to guess what our presents were. At one point I had said a ring and he had convinced me that it wasn't a ring. I was so upset and trying not to let him see/hear it.
Saturday morning he called to tell me he was going to be a little late, but he was on his way. I finished getting ready and was shutting the shades in my bedroom and saw my little brother and sister getting out of his truck. I was trying to figure out why he brought them, but still didn't think it was going to be it. I opened the door a couple of minutes later and Bruce jumped around the corner. They started coming in and my little brother was holding a ring box and said "sissy Kim, will you marry Bruce?" My little sister immediatly said "Dalton, I was supposed to say it first." I started crying because I never imagined that he would incorporate my bother and sister. He then came in and pulled me up off the floor (I had leaned up against the door and slid down to the floor). I just kept hugging him. I then asked if he wanted an answer and he told me he already knew what the answer was. He then removed my promise ring and replaced it with the engagement ring.

He said that things didn't go exactly as plan (partly my fault because I opened the door before they were ready). My little sister was supposed to say "sissy Kim, do you remember what I told you when I was in Florida? Well, it is time!" Then my little brother was supposed to then ask me to marry Bruce. It was still adorable and awesome!!!
It was so meaningful to have them involved because my little brother was about 3 months old and my little sister had just turned 2 when we started dating. They are a huge part of my life and they think the world of Bruce! My little sister has been asking when she gets to be in our wedding since my sister got married 2 years ago! Now she finally get her chance!!!
