Well, all I have to say is it's about TIME I put this on here!! I'm soooo excited to finally have all of my pictures back and on the computer. They are absolutely beautiful, our photographer was wonderful! So, here is my story along with my awesome pictures (not to brag) :heee:


I think I'll start with the rehersal and the day before, it's a pretty important part of the wedding! The bachelor and bachelorette parties were the night before rehersal. I warned my FH not to get too wasted because he was going to have to decorate and do rehersal the next day. Well, he FINALLY shows up AFTER we were done decorating with a major headache and in the grumpiest mood ever. I thought oh geez.. this is not a good way to start this off!!!
After decorating, I had to rush to shower and dress before rehersal. As it turns out, while I'm doing this it starts RAINING. Now this might not matter except that my wedding was OUTSIDE and we had JUST got done decorating!! ACK! Well, somehow, someone was watching over us because as soon as we began the rehersal the rain stopped!

The rehersal went smoothly. Then, on our way to the dinner, my dear FH realized that he had left our groomsmen's gifts at our new apartment. Sooo..we had to drive 15 min. out of the way to get them!!! We were soooo late for our rehersal dinner.. I think people kinda got impatient. But hey, at least we made it there!! Other than that things were ok. I was a little upset that my FH's parents ordered TONS of food and hardly anyone brought their dates, wives, husbands, etc. So we had soooo much left over food. It was a good time anyway, and lots of good food.

Now, on to the wedding day!!!!

I woke up fairly early, not because I couldn't sleep but because of the early hair appointment with my girls! I reallllly thought I would have trouble sleeping the night before, but WOW I slept like a rock. My sister and I got dressed, chatting about how exciting it was that I was FINALLY getting married (after 5 1/2 years of dating!).

I met my girls at the beauty shop. This woman who runs the shop is absolutely wonderful! She has been doing my hair since I was realllllly little. She actually postponed her vacation a day to do my hair for the wedding.. she said she wouldn't dream of missing out on that. Thank GOODNESS b/c I wouldn't have trusted anyone else with this important hair-do! So, we got started.. chatting giddily and getting our hair done, putting our makeup on. I actually didn't feel excited or nervous or anything. It was so strange. I expected to really be freaking out.. but nope, I was just normally happy!

All done, and I MUST say that we have never looked more beautiful!!

As you can see, all of our hair-do's were pretty similar, but they all also had their own uniqueness to them. They turned out absolutely perfect. I couldn't have expected ANYTHING better!

After our hair and the girls did their makeup, we went to my house for hot dogs. I thought I wouldn't be able to eat a thing, but I actually did pretty well to get some food down!! After lunch, we rushed around like maniacs, making sure we had absolutely everything before we headed to the wedding.

On the way, I realized I STILL hadn't had time to do my make up, so I did some in the car. I ended up doing the rest when we arrived at the dressing rooms. I was sooo proud of myself, it was the best make up job I'd ever done. I was so shockingly calm.. I really thought I wouldn't be able to do my make up from my shaking hands.

I think it finally hit me when the photographers showed up...

The photographers (D.W. Photography from Marietta, GA) began by taking pictures of my dress on the hanger. Unfortunately, those didn't turn out well, not because of the photographers, but because there was no where to really take good pictures of the hanging dress. Then, they left the room while I put my dress on. I left it untied so that they could get pictures of my sister tying the dress up. At first, I was so nervous that i just wanted them to hurry up and get my dressed tied. I wasn't smiling for my pics or anything, but I eventually loosened up and just got more and more excited! I LOVE how these pics turned out!

After we were all ready, we headed out to take pictures of me and my girls, my family, and my bridal portraits. It was so much fun! I just felt so beautiful and I could not WAIT to see Travis!! We decided not to see each other until I walked down the aisle. It was TORTURE! But it was worth it. While we were taking pictures, he called and told me he was pulling in. I was like WAIT WAIT.. you can't see me! I think he got kinda frustrated with me, but we worked it out and we honestly didn't see a peek of each other until the ceremony.

Once we were in the room where we were to come out, I started getting really nervous. And it was weird because it went soooo quickly. All of a sudden everyone else was gone and it was time for me and my dad to walk down the aisle! I'll explain the ceremony mostly with pictures. After we got down the aisle, my mom came up from her seat and the both gave me away. It was really nice. I'm very close to my mom, so I'm glad I was able to include her in that.

What I love about this picture is that it was right before we entered the reception and it was not posed at all. I didn't even know he took the picture..honestly I don't even remember kissing travis as that moment, lol!

After all of the pics we entered the reception and automatically were bombarded with hugs and "you look so beautiful" "everything is so beautiful." It made me feel so good and so glad to see everyone there. There were even old friends there from high school band (where we met) that we didn't invite. I was sooo glad to see them, and a little embarrassed I hadn't invited them. But we showed our gratitude for them showing up!

The toasts were wonderful. Travis' brother did a hilarious toast that we just loved! And my sister did a sweet toast. My mom also wrote a poem for me. It was really nice. Here are the toasts and cake cutting.

Then we did a mother/son, daddy/daughter dance all rolled into one. We danced to the song "When They Do" by Trace Atkins.

Next, we had the bouquet and garter toss. It took awhile for us to get to this because all of the boys and my MOH had gone to decorate the car!! Well, silly boys...they forgot the car chalk and ended up having to drive to a convience store. The only thing they could find was deodarant.. and you'll see how that turned out in the last pics!

They FINALLY came back and we got around to wrapping things up...

My sister ended up being the one to catch the bouquet and let me tell ya.. my parents weren't too thrilled =)


With the garter toss, we blindfolded Travis and stuck his brother's leg under my dress. So that when Travis reached out for me he got a handful of hairy leg. We got him good..all though he won't admit it. It was a lot of fun and VERY funny.. I recommend doing it!

A friend of mine's FH caught the garter. It was quite funny b/c they are getting married at the same place on the same weekend next year!


Everyone got into a circle then and we had our last dance. It was really nice and by that time he and I were both exhausted and ready to be ALOOONNNEE =)

We hugged everyone goodbye and they blew bubbles as we headed to our car. I had ALWAYS wanted bubbles since the first time I ever heard of them or saw them. It turned out just as great as I had hoped!

Our car was FILLED with balloons. It was too funny. And everyone kept throwing them back in as we tried to leave!

That's my story! After this, we spent out wedding night at our new apartment (also our first night together in the apartment AND our first time having sex). It was a great night. We hung around on Sunday after the wedding doing absolutely nothing at all. And then on Monday we left for Treasure Island, FL where we had an awesome honeymoon!

It's funny that you say that! I was actually not happy with my flowers when I saw them on the wedding day. They turned out A LOT more beautiful in the photographs than in person. Not only did they not look as I had pictured, they were also very thorny!!!! Thank you for the compliment though =)
