I was recently watching the local news and saw a story about a 21-Day Detox Diet. The testimonial of one lady said she lost 12 pounds and 4 inches since starting the program in 2 weeks. It consists of cutting out most foods for the first phase and adding more protein and healthy meats in phase 2. I'm wondering how well this would work for the money ($270 for all natural supplements and shakes) and how safe it would be (says it's safe for kids as young as 12 I believe). Anyone heard of this or seen such a thing?

Any foods you add in during the program are supposed to be all natural and organic. I have seen people on the news who swear by this program, but what can you really believe from the news?

I haven't heard of that specific detox but I have done detoxs' myself and plan to do another Jan (after christmas and all it's goodies).

Detoxs' are EXCELLENT for your body. They are hardley talked about and are a very important thing that needs to be done to avoid dangerous health complications.

Talk to a naturalpath or someone at a health food store about cleanses.
There are many different ones out there.
They always suggest you do a colon cleanse first then if you want to you can do a candida (yeast) cleanse, parasite cleanse, heavy metal cleanse and liver cleanse.
The liver cleanse should be done last because your body must be in tip top health to be able to flush the toxins out of your body fast.

As for the lady losing 12lbs in 2 weeks, it was most likely hardened fecal matter from the colon.
They say that some people can have up to 25 POUNDS of dried fecal matter in their colon alone!! That right there is enought to do a cleanse!!

If anyone has any other questions.. just ask :)
