How Many Programs to do?

I am not sure how many programs to print off. We are having around 170 people coming, but quite a few of them are just bigger familes with lots of kids. I am wondering if I could get away with around 125 programs for that many people? I don't want to have a ton of them left over! I am having the ushers hand them out to the women as they seat people.

How many programs did you guys make in relation to your guests?

We had 230 or so say they were coming and I think we made 150. We had A TON left over even from that many!

Did you just have people pick them up or did you have them passed out? I'm hoping to eliminate the left overs my passing them?

We had 2 people pass ours out

You have to rememeber too that many people end up not going to the ceremony and just come to the reception and vs versa

we didn't do programs so I'm no help... but I do know that every wedding that I've been to there have been left over programs and I've never heard anybody ever say "uh oh, we're out of programs" or "the wedding was great, but too bad they ran out of programs" :giggle:, so that's gotta tell ya something.

True, I forgot about that! It's pretty common around here to definately just go to the reception.

So I am betting that you could do 100-125 and be completely ok :)

I would think that 100 would be plenty... or just count on 1 for each family.

I did just over half from my expected total and I only have a few left. :)

We had 100 coming and made about 100, just in case every person took one, for some weird reason. We had a TON left over that I ended up chucking.
