I just started using proactiv and my face is getting so dry, in particular my chin...anyone else have that happen? Should I stop using it or will it get better after I get used to it?

I tried it and it really irritated my skin. No dryness, but redness I think it was too harsh for my skin. I guess it just depends on the person.

I tried it and it didn't do a thing for me, except really dry my skin out, so I stopped using it.

If it's working, I'd say use an oil-free moisturizer after cleansing. I use one made by Biore and it rocks :)

I started using the "off" brands of proactive and those dried out my face as well. I have tried everything for my face and recently I found one that works. I am using the clinique 3 step program of face wash, toner stuff, and then lotion.

Yes, I've used it for a couple years. How often do you put the step three on there? I usually only did that at night because it would REALLY dry out my face. Get a mild moisturizer like Cetaphil (I swear by it) that's dermatologist recommended with no dyes, etc. to balance it out and put it on every morning and night if you have to. It'll help :)

Another thing that helps? Just wash your face with step one and put on moisturizer. You're still getting the cleansing, which is what you really need.

I used proactiv for quite a while, and found it dried me out too much. I used step one, then step two, then a moisturizer (I've used neutrogena oil free for years) and then step three when things were bad or only once a day, that usually got me to be not too dry.

Hope that helps!
