what colors or themes are you doing?

What are your colors/ theme for your fall wedding? Are you staying in season and doing something along those lines or something totally different?

What made you decide that?

We went with red, gold, and white for our colors. We were actually planning on getting married in March and using those colors, and kept them when we switch to fall. The only real "fall" thing we had was a flower centerpiece on teh head table my aunt did....lemme see if I can find a pic....we didn't even want it, she just did it and brought it to the reception site:

The girls wore red, and the guys had gold vests and ties (DH wore silver and my FIL wore black; wish we had put him in gold!):

We actually chose our colors based on the flowers we had at our senior prom--yellow roses with red tips. Those were supposed to be our flowers for the wedding, but they never came in from the wholesaler my aunt ordered them from :(

Our theme is red, white and blue. It sort of came about organically, but it fits since both the US and UK flags are red, white and blue. :)

I'm going to have fun playing with this idea!

We had a vintage 40's/50's styled wedding. Our main colors were victorian lilac and ivory. I just felt that those colors went best with the theme; that's why we didn't do fall colors. We did get some really nice "fall" pictures outside with the colored leaves! :)

My colors are chocolate, cinnamon and cream. I am sticking with the fall theme. That time of year is my favorite and a lot of the reason for that is the colors. Our reception is in a renovated horse barn and those colors look beautiful with the rustic elegance of the barn.

Answering my own question...

Cobalt blue/silver/white. Beach theme.

FH didn't care about the colors so long as I didn't pick pink.

I chose the theme, then ran it past FH and he was like "go for it!"

we are doing red and black with white and silver accents. There is nothing to do with fall, we are doing a rose theme...I don't even really remember how or why I decided this, I decided almost 1.5 years before even planning (engaged 3 years). I chose fall because it is my favorite season, though nothing will be fall related. heheh

We didn't really have set colors, they just followed along with the theme. We chose the theme to go with the season, so we did a fall harvest theme. We had pumpkins, gourds and corn shucks to decorate. So naturally, the colors went with the browns and oranges of the season, though the BP was mainly in black.

We are using the colors of navy blue (fh fav color) and lilac (my fav color). We aren't going with a fall theme or any theme in general.

I'm going with fall colors(oranges, browns, reds and yellows). Our ceremony is going to be outdoors and knew those colors would be all around us in nature. So, now we basically have a fall theme.

Black and white with a touch of red.
i play the piano and grew up with a beautiful black piano (that I affectionately called Suzy...she was my best friend.) We used to have a bouquet of red roses on her and I fell in love with the color scheme. That's basically what we are going for. Lots of black, beautiful red accents with the flowers (and red sashes on the black BM dresses) and a white base color.
