In light of the recent discussions in regards to privitization of areas of this community, we thought it would be a good idea to remind people of basic internet safety.
Please remember that the main priority of this website is to be a meeting place for all who are planning weddings, have planned weddings, or just love wedding planning in general. We are delighted to see the growth of both old members and new, and the friendships that have incurred because of Must Love Weddings! We encourage friendships, and we encourage sharing of ideas, thoughts and opinions!
That being said, please remember that we have NO CONTROL over who joins Must Love Weddings. Once they are members, there are rules set out for the forums, but otherwise, anyone is allowed to join. So please keep that in mind when you post about friends, family, work, etc.
Please be wary of giving out personal information like your name (especially last names), adresses, and phone numbers.
E-mail is great, but consider creating an account especially for Must Love Weddings.
Use initials, or nicknames when talking about others. You never know who might be reading this.
It's wonderful to meet online friends in real life, but please do so safely. Meet in a public place and let someone know where you are.
We're not trying to scare ANYONE away, but we want to make sure that people remain safe while surfing our site!
If you want privacy, please remember that no such thing exists on the Internet!
Also please remember that our CLs as well as Mods are here to help in ANY way! If you notice suspicious activity, have a question, or feel uneasy about something that's going on, PLEASE feel free to PM us, and we can help out as best we can!
