Sometimes I hate living in the South.
We got a little snow this morning, and my ENTIRE team has wimped out and decided to "work" from home. We have a birthday today, so here I am sitting with a quarter of a sheet cake that I bought which is apparently going to rot (since the birthday girl is out of the office next week).
Screw them. I'll go "work" from home after lunch.

Thank you, Jillian!!!
The good news is my boss came in, so I guess it made me look good that I'm here and no one else is. :)

Actually, you can freeze cake.. it would last just fine until your coworker comes back..

I want to go work from home :( I really should have today, but I can't as I'm the only one on my team in the office. Le sigh.
Eat the cake yourself, you deserve it for braving the snow.

I agree too. Not that we've had anything to talk about this year, but send them to the northeast. They'll never be able to pull off working from home because of a little snow again!

I know - you all are so right. Its amusing to me how the world stops here when we get a little snow. Sheesh!
There's nothing to do except to cover for them - or actually MAKE them work while they're at home. And hey, if it made me look good to be there bo my boss (while everyone else wimped out), then I guess there are worse things!
I did end up freezing that cake. Hopefully it will be ok next week!
