Were they for DIY invites? I have a link to a company who has those. Let me go dig it up.

I recommend cardsandpockets.com also! They are wonderful. Jennifer showed hers off and I asked about them and she told me about how they were on sale. So when I called and asked about pocketfolds, I told them I was hoping to find some that would work that were onsale. I ended up with ivory pocketfolds for $.75. Of course, they weren't exactly what I was looking for, but I saved money and no one will be the wiser anyways!

Awesome :) I'm so excited for that! I didn't think I'd be able to afford pocketfolds...

My cousin sent us her invite to her wedding and it was a pocketfold and FH said he liked the style...which made me want them even more...yaaaaaay UW!

Today at the scrap book shop they had pre made ones. Very beautiful. Their brand name was envelopments. www.envelopments.com (http://www.envelopments.com)
I would not have thought to look at the scrapbook shop for these.

I got my samples in.

The pocketfold I got is WAY too small for what I want, but it gives me a good idea of the nature of the construction and stuff. It's very high quality, and the colors are really nice. I'm going to show them to Raif and see what he says.

I really liked them though and hopefully he will too. It came with a nice note apologizing that they didn't have one of the colors, and that another they had a sample for but the color itself has been discontinued. So that's sorta unfortunate, but there are still a lot of other choices out there. Yay!

Renny
07-22-2006, 08:00 PM
Jessica what size did you get?

MsJessica07
07-23-2006, 01:39 AM
Picollo...it's like...Index Card sized...nice for something smaller, but I need a lot of room to write what I need, you know? That's the point of the pocketfold! But like I said, it was high quality and good colors.

Raif liked it too, and we're gonna look at the specifics of buying them soon :)

Try www.envelopments.com (http://www.envelopments.com) they have larger sizes. And many colors.

MsJessica07

cardsandpockets has a lot of bigger ones...I just didn't realize the sample I was ordering was so small...oops :)

I found this site too and most average out to less than .75 cents each. the ones I want are .59 cents each.

Renny
07-24-2006, 05:14 PM
I'm actually ordering my cards/inserts from a different place. but I'll try to find the ones there and post you the direct link.

I'm getting mine at http://www.formal-invitations.com/invitation-supplies.html

If you aren't wanting to buy each insert seperately, just buy a bunch of cardstock and bring it to kinkos to be cut. That's what I did, I bought 200 sheets of cardstock and measured for cutting, brought it in, $30 and 15 minutes later I've got all of my inserts (a total of 5 per invitation) for all of my 110 invitations cut. Totally worth it.

Jaci- I'm planning on doing the same thing and having them printed there since I want gold ink on the actual invite.

Great idea, Jaci!

I had no idea Kinkos did that. That would save on my printer ink too!

Raif and I decided to get the Persian Blue Signature C pocketfolds, and buy separate cardstock...(spring green parchment from paperandmore.com) It's perfect with our color scheme and Raif loves the contrast.

Total cost for about 70 invites (assuming we don't decide we want more than that extra)? $174, minus any printing cost if we get Kinkos to do it :)

Jessica, if I haven't pmed you tonight, send me one to remind me okay?

Ladies, I have some templates for the Signature C pocketfolds inserts AND the invites (just not the invite mat, I bought those from cardsandpockets.com also). When I find them I will put them into a .jpg file so pm me if you are looking for them okay?

Cindy

Mimzy- what scrapbook store did you find those envelopments at? Was it a national chain? I'm wondering if I might be able to find some around here and save on postage!!

Lori
07-28-2006, 12:00 PM
I got the signature C from cards-and-pockets here is my sample invite but I was thinking about using a light green for the pocketfold since I did with my STD and loved them. I think the darker green looks more formal though so maybe I'll just stick with it.

Thought I'd post a picture for you ladies though... If anyone needs any measurements let me know and I can get those to you.

Lori

Thanks, I'm kinda second guessing them though. oh well though, Im just going to stick with them, they look better in person anyways since its shimmery cardstock. I hate looking at the pictures of them lol

Jaci
07-28-2006, 03:16 PM
ohh, why are you second guessing them? they look fantastic!

Cindy
07-28-2006, 03:47 PM
I'd like measurements, Lori. They look absolutely incredible.

I wish I was talented!

Lori
07-28-2006, 10:47 PM
Well I love the look of them but not too fond on the colors I guess. I decided to change from a sage green to a light green on the girls dresses and almost everything else. I think a light green goes with spring better. I'm keeping them the same but going to play with the pocketfold color a little.

Sure the inserts measurements starting from the smallest are:
3 1/2" x 3 1/2"
4 1/4" x 3 1/2"
5" x 3 1/2"
5 3/4" x 3 1/2"
6 1/2" x 3 1/2"

The mat is:
6 3/4" x 4 3/4"

And the invite (if your only doing one mat) is:
6 1/2" x 4 1/2"

If you want to do the two toned mat like I have in the picture just make the next mat
6 1/2" x 4 1/2"
and the invite then would be: 6 1/4" x 4 1/4"

QueenElizabeth22
07-29-2006, 12:32 AM
Hey Jaci...I think I have photoshop on my comp, but it isn't the newest version or anything...would that work? I am thinking that we will do our own invites and got samples from Card-and-Pockets, but I wasn't quite sure where to start to do the inserts...I am sure your templates would really help! Thanks! :)

Jaci
07-29-2006, 08:59 AM
Yup, they should work no matter where.

The templates I'm doing are for the signature C pocketfold, that has the measurements that Lori posted.

Thats awesome, I bought the templete from cards-and-pockets because I didn't feel like trying to figure it out lol but I guess Its not too hard to figure out if you want to take the time to do it.
 For saving money not having to order the templetes though.

And your invites turned out beautiful!!

Jaci
07-31-2006, 10:44 AM
I can make them .jpgs, but you won't be able to edit them at all, and keep in mind ladies, that these are the cutting templates. They are what I brought to kinkos and said, this is exactly how I want all of these cut. I didn't print them before I had them cutting, so if you do it in that order, it might not work out. Okay?

MsJessica07
08-02-2006, 08:58 PM
Jaci, I just got photoshop, so I can get those templates if you have them :)

The more and more I see these, the more I want them. If kinkos does the printing, do you know if they can do thermographic printing?

MsJessica07
08-10-2006, 11:15 PM
Hi there, Kinkos does just regular printing I think (I don't know that one for sure, I didn't ask) but their regular printing was 7.5 cents a page when I asked at the local store :)

I also ordered Signature C from cards and pockets. They had a printer lady who does thermographic printing. I had them do my printing. I got to design my invites and email the designs to her. She was very helpful and suggestions to make them look even better. The printing was also fabulous! They did a great job!

question: does the RSVP card get sent out in an envelope provided by you? or by the recipient? or is it like a postcard?

belle67
08-23-2006, 09:39 AM
I think it is quite common to send along a stamped envelope. Anything to make it easier for the guest to acyually put them in the mail!
I have also heard of a postcard style and there again I would put a stamp on it.

Jaci

Jaci
08-24-2006, 10:07 AM
yup, 80# weight I think. I got it from paperandmore.com and had it all cut down to my specifications at Kinkos. If you go with Signature C pocketfolds, let me know, I can send you a cutting template.

This stuff: http://www.paperandmore.com/card_stock_sand.html

along with these envelopes: http://www.paperandmore.com/a7_sand_announcement_envelopes.html

and they fit my Signature C pocketfolds perfectly!

Ok, after looking at this thread along with deciding that these are the invites that I absolutely love! I have ordered my sample invite and color samples. I ordered the midnight and lilac shimmer samples along with the navy linen and lavender color samples. We will have to try an decide out of those 4 colors to see what matched the best to our colors. Can't wait to get the samples in!

www.envelopemall.com (http://www.envelopemall.com) has the colors for some of the pocketfolds that cardsandpockets uses. I got the cardstock for my mats from there. The cardstock I got was Carnival Sheets 8-1/2 x 11" (80 lb Cover) 100 Sht Pack
