You could name your tables after the 12 days of Christmas. Use silver trimmed christmas tree shaped place cards with names or menu written in silver ink.

This is a sorta old thread, but I'm bumping it up because that's exactly what I am : a Christmas BRIDE! And I have NO early idea how to come across it, because my FMIL and FH just stare at me crazily when I suggest ice sculptures or Christmas trees. Don't even get me started on their opionions on the "Cozy Log cabin in the mountains" feel, which is exactly what i want!

Have you thought about making a scrap book, inspiration board or web page with all your ideas in one spot so they see how it works? Perhaps show them some other themed weddings that you love. I say go for it! Its your day and a theme certainly makes the day even more memorable when its a bit "different", yet reflects your personality. Good luck.
