I don't think that would look silly. It would make sense, too, because as the bride you might have something different or special about your bouquet anyway. :)

I am loving this thread. If the BMs are wearing purple should my bouquet be all purple and theirs have purple and red?

Jillian, I think that would look great. If you want yours just one color I'd go with purple. But yours could be red and purple too. My bouquet is going to be all red roses and the girls is going to be red and white, because where I'm getting my flowers from they don't have purple roses and I want to stick with all roses. Slowly my colors are becoming red and white with just purple accents. I'm going to try for more purple with the reception.

I think if you love the red and purple together you should have it too, if you want to stand out more than you will already ( Bride of course) you could pick one color over the other than matching the BM's>

I think that would be really pretty. One thing you have to be careful to avoid with this combination, IMO, is the use of white in the bouquets... then it looks too much like red, white, and blue. So I like your idea. :aok:

OMG, yes. Honestly I picked these color back in 2002 before I had ever heard of those red hat ladies. :disbelief: But the colors they use are super saturated, so I think it's easy to use these colors for a wedding and not have it look like them. :) Using wine or burgundy instead of red helps a lot, too.

A possible florist suggested using pale yellow for the BMs. For most of you in this thread your BMs are wearing red so I'm starting to think that with such a dark purple on the BM maybe I should go with yellow/plum combo.

I just assumed this is a red and purple combo thread. If your BM's are all wearing purple, red and purple would look great, just keep in mind the light or darkness of the purple, you need a complimentary shade of purple , no matchy match, you'll never see it. If you like the yellow and plum combo that is pretty as well, I would play around with colors with the shade of the dresses for the BM's, this should tell you what you do like the best.
