I have to call and set up an appointment for all of us girls to get our hair done on the wedding day. There will be 3 to 5 of us that need to get our hair done and me to get my makeup done that day, we need to be on the other side of town ready to go for pictures at 1:30, should I do the appointment right when the salon opens just to be safe??

We have 4 girls for hair and at least one for make up. Heather is coming to our room at 2:00 and we have her booked until 5:00. My photos (without Dan) start at 5:30 and ceremony at 6:30

Maybe that helps to figure it out?

My hairdresser said to allow an hour for me and little less (30-45min) for the girls. I would make them early...better to be too early than too late!

Just make sure that the bride goes LAST. If you are having your make up done, you want it to be as fresh as humanly possible.

I was told that it would take about an hour as well. Of course, it does depend on what you are having done to your hair. And definitely make yours the last appointment!

It definitely depends on what kind of styles are being done. It took me an hour and 45 minutes to have my hair and make up done. I think you'd be best to talk to your girls to get an idea of how complex the styles they want are, and then call the salon. The stylists will be able to give you the best estimate, taking into consideration the pace of the people who will be doing the work, etc.

I would ask the hairstylist if she has any idea of how long it would take to do each girl...she should have an idea of how quickly or slowly she does hair!! :) We went at 8:00 and were done by 10:00 (we had 4 girls total!)

Well, we have 2 girls getting their hair done. Our appointments are at 9:30. She told me that my hair will be done by 10:45 at the latest. I have a makeup appointment at 10:45 it is upstairs at Dillards. I am leaving by 11:15 to be at the church at noon. Try to see if you can get each girl to have thier own hair dresser. That is what I am doing. I hope this helps.

I called the salon and set up the appointments today. They decided to do a different stylist for each girl...they said thats how they usually do it for BPs. So all of us are getting our hair done at 8am. I wanted to get it done the early so I didn't have to worry about rushing around later in the day....that way depending on the schedule for the day, I may have some time to try and relax. We are going right when the salon opens for the day, so at least there won't be a ton of people there either.

I would allow as much time as you possibly can. You do not want to feel rushed or hurried on your wedding day. I am making mine as soon as the salon opens because I want to be able to at least have 30 minutes before we leave for the ceremony to just sit and relax with everyone and maybe have a Mimosa ;) I might be crazy thinking I will have a minute or two or peace and quiet before it all begins, but one can hope right :)
