I have a couple questions for anyone who made their own guest book (or anyone who has an opinion). How many pages are enough? I noticed some photo guest books contain just engagement pictures, but I'm adding pictures of both of us throughout our lives (instead of having a slide show). How many pages are enough/how many pages are too many? I'm going a little crazy with the pages and need some advice about how many I should have. (For reference we have 100 guests).
Anyone who had this, or some type of guest book asking guest to write advice, a story, etc. vs just signing, did guests actually do it? If so, how did you make them aware that you'd appreciate more writing than just a signature?
I had my guests sign a little scrapbooking tab, but my guestbook was different from yours. I didn't put pictures of us in it, I am putting pictures of my guests in it.
I had a photographer stationed at the door to the reception and he took a picture of each person as they were walking in. Next to him was a table with the scrapbooking tabs, pen, a bowl to put them in, and a sign explaining what was to be done with it all (I.E. take a picture, write advice/signature on the tab).
Now I just have to print all of the pictures off and put them into a scrapbook with the tabs next to them.

I pretty much did the same thing as Jaci - minus the photographer. I had a little slip of paper asking them to put any well wishes/comments/or just a signature. I had the slip of paper underneath their pup tent card for their table assignment.

I would say 10 pages......

We had two attendents standing there explaining what to do.. we used a Creative Memories book so I could put in as many pages as I needed and took out the blank ones later.

Looking on the various websites (MyPublisher, Shutterfly, etc) it looks like they all pretty much charge one price for the first 20 pages, and then additional charge for each page. To me that would suggest getting a 20 page book, which would be definitely enough room for what you want. Hope that helps!
