Does anyone know if there's such a thing as an extender for ankle strap shoes??? Because of a medical condition, I've been having problems with swelling in my legs and feet, and I'm starting to worry that I may not be able to wear the shoes that I bought for the wedding. Someone at work told me that she was certain that you can buy extenders for the ankle straps, but she didn't know where I could get them. I've never heard of this (and am rather doubting it's true), but I'm hoping someone else has. I just can't stand to think about now being able to wear my beloved shoes! :mope:

I don't know if they make them or not, sorry.
If the the ankle strap part comes off the shoe itself, you may be able to glue it to a nice silk ribbon and lace it back thru the ankle strap opening so that it will fit you and you can make a nice bow at the back.

Thanks for the responses, everyone. I was pretty sure that there wasn't any such thing. I have figured out how I'm going to make them work, though, so all ends well. :)

Well, I guess I could do that. :p Sorry, it didn't even occur to me. :o The buckle itself is actually on a small piece of elastic. So, I'm just going to cut the buckle off, sew in an extra lenght of elastic, and re-attach the buckle. :)
