I guess people take that rule "you have a year" seriously! I answered the door the other day to the UPS guy holding a huge box for me (and I hadn't ordered anything, odd). When I opened it up, it was from DHs cousins, and it was 6 Tiffany beer mugs! :hehe: It was absolutely the perfect gift for us. What a great surprise!

That's awesome!!
that's pretty cool! Maybe they were sending it as an anniversary present or something to coordinate it like that?

Kathy, I sure didn't! I actually kept our TY stationery as our regular everyday stuff, so it's always at hand. :)

Moral of the story: don't get ticked at people for not sending you a gift until at least a year after your wedding.
I got a late one too, but it was a vase. I'd rather have your beer mugs. :)
But I don't complain about gifts of any kind. I love presents!

That's great. I got one picture frame a month ago. I thought that was a really late gift.

wow! What an awesome gift! We have people that were invited to our wedding that never RSVPed, and never even sent a card...I'm beginning to think that they didn't get the invitation! I dn't know! Anyway, it's been a year since our wedding, so I'm guessing NO presents for us a year later!

What a terrific gift, especially for this time of year. You can use them for beer, root beer floats, or ice cream! YUM!

To be honest, I'm scared of them. They're not coming out of the box until we move into a bigger place.

Maybe they wanted their gift to stand out. Hehe
Or maybe they were backordered?

LOL That's great!
We got married in July and one gift (from DH's mom!) we got at christmas. She told us in July that we would get it later, so we knew it was coming. :) And it was a GREAT gift... a big set of professional pots and pans!!

That's cool. I'll have to keep this in mind after the wedding. Wait a year to do the registry completion.

Beer mugs are great. Fh and I got a gift about a year ago a little tea set. :dunno: And with reading everyones posts I better send out a thank you. I never thought about it till now. We got right before Christmas and then everything was going on with fh mom and then we moved. Yikes I better get on that. I hope its not to late.

Whatever gifts we will recieve..We won't get until the wedding. Its a "tradition?" here to recieve the gifts at the wedding.
Then you must open them at the wedding so the guests know you appreciate the gifts and can thank them right then.

Oh, I certainly hope so! An in person ty does not cut the mustard for a wedding gift, I don't care who you are or where you're from!
