Okay, I wasn't sure where to post this, so I thought this might be as good a place as any!

I fastened the knots on some of our STD Cards the other night with a scrapbooking photo split. They don't seem to be holding very well :(

Anyone have any ideas? We're mailing in the winter, so I'm concerned about these photo splits definitely not sticking properly in the cold, and I would be concerned about hot glue not sticking properly either, because that stuff doesn't like the cold weather either :(

I'm looking for something with as few steps as possible

Here's the prototype - I've trimmed and finished the knots with clear nailpolish - thankfully that has worked :heee:

Wow. Cool knot.
I don't have any really great ideas (sorry). I think the most secure method would be to sew it to the paper with a piece of thread. You could do it invisibly from the front, but it doesn't meet the "few steps as possible" requirement. You might try a test run with one of those adhesive dots for scrapbooking. It might be thick enough to grab onto the knot better.

I'm not much of a scrapper. Hopefully someone who is will be more brilliant.

I betcha adhesive glue dots will hold it. I use then for sticking metal on paper and it cements it on.

I'll third the dots (http://www.paper-source.com/cgi-bin/paper/425678.html). I think they will be easier than hot glue, and since they stay squishy, they should hold even in the cold. :)

Awesome - thanks ladies! I personally have never used the adhesive dots in my scrapbooking, but will definitely be getting some of those soon! That seems just as quick and easy as the photo splits, and I LIKE time-saving stuff! :)

I fourth the dots! I bought some to play with with our invitiation ideas, and they really hold well!

I was wondering if using large yarn or thin ribbon wouldn't hold
the knot better.
Also - I'm almost sure I've seen premade knots at the scrapbook place. You might check that out.
And the dots are really great.
Very creative STD!

I would sew it onto the backing with a thin, clear fishing line or something. It's very unobtrusive, and there's no way it will come off.
