Okay, I want to know if other brides have encountered this. Do you feel like you don't have ENOUGH on any of your registries? I've just sat and added to three of mine, moved some things around because I liked something better somewhere so I took it off one and moved it to the other, it was a better price somewhere else, etc. (yes, I'm bargain shopping for my guests, LOL). Anyhow, I added a bunch of stuff I'm not totally sure about and already got one of them! I like it, so I'm glad, but I'm scared that my registry is going to run out before the wedding.

Has this happened to anyone? I don't want to just register to be registering because I'd rather just get things we actually need or really want.

I wouldn't worry about it to much right now. Just keep an eye on the registry. If it starts getting low then add a few more items.

I agree... I thought the same thing. But, so many people didn't buy things off the registry. Most gave money.. Just keep an eye out on things

Don't worry about not having enough on the registry. Some people will prefer to buy you gift cards or give you money instead. I wouldn't worry about it. Just put what you really need/want on it.

Cool, thanks y'all -- it helps to hear it from those of you who have already been there! It's already gotten low once, I had to add. We've invited too many people, LOL!

Ashley, it is nice that your guests are using your registry. Means that you will be getting what you need.

Yes, it's great! We need everything, because Michael has stuff but it's all hand me downs from his Mom and they're older than dirt. Either that or they've been through one of our apartments in college and well, erm, didn't fare so well. It's been awesome, I always get excited when I look at it (and I try not to but I'll think of something and wonder if I added it) and see someone bought us something we really need! I put a step stool on there randomly, and someone bought it for us AND I AM SO EXCITED!!!!

That's awesome that they're being used.

I focused on putting stuff on our registries geared towards showers...after the showers, if the registries have alot of stuff purchased from them, we'll add more...or just leave it, hoping people give us money :)

Yes! It's great :) I'm going to go through today and tonight and change some things and add to Pottery Barn since a lot of people seem to like to buy us things from there! It's so exciting, I love it :) It's so nice to finally have things that I really like instaed of just stuff Michael had through college that has been through the mill. Actually having stuff that you know is good quality and is going to last forever is really cool!

That is nice  When you move from plastic mixing bowls to glass...and all of the glasses in the cupboard match :happysigh: I can't wait! And to get rid of all the hand-me-downs too :errrr: Hope FMIL doesn't take offense when we get rid of them! :giggle:

LOL, ditto. I'm giving it all to my brother who just divorced and doesn't have anything. FMIL doesn't care, but she said just to give it back to her if we're going to throw it away (bit of a packrat, she is).

I love it when it all matches!

Dang, your FMIL sounds like my mother :laugh3: She'd rather keep it all in a box instead of seeing it thrown away! We're planning a huge yard sale...and whatever doesn't sell is going to goodwill - I refuse to store stuff I don't want

(love your avatar, BTW :))

It is important to have a variety of price ranges on your registry also. I have purchased 5 wedding gifts recently and a few of them ended up being things not on their registry because the reasonably priced items had all been purchased and only very expensive things remained.

It's a good idea to check your registry and add some items if you have only the highest priced items remaining.
