I love to hear first date stories.
What was your first date for you and FH/DH?
He called me the night before and asked if I wanted to go to a movie the next day before he had to go to work and I had to go back to college. We went to see the movie The Rundown. That's all we did and he took me home, but we hit it off from there.

The night we met in person (we met online originally), we met up at McDonald's and then went to go see "Big Daddy". Our first real date was 4th of July and we went to a birthday party for one of his friends, had a BBQ at his parent's house and then went to watch fireworks with his friends.

We met online weeks before we met in person. The night we ended up having our first date, we were on the phone at midnight...and I asked him out. He asked me when I'd like to do that, so I said "how bout right now"...and he actually said *yes*.
We met at Denny's on Halloween 2004. It was too crowded there so he followed me over to a little all night diner one town over, where we had the cheapest date ever- coffe & soda over long conversation. As a bonus, the clocks were turned back that night so we got an extra hour together. The date ended in the parking lot on that wickedly foggy night... we stayed there standing against my car kissing until the sun came up.
We've been together ever since...

Our first date was an AHL hockey game....I asked him if he'd like to go out sometime, and that's what we ended up doing. I don't know how we got a second date out of that (he didn't talk to me the whole time!!), but we're still together.

Our first date was going to get ice cream at Marble Slab. While we there his parents called and he said he was there with me and that I was special.
Of course he denies that we were "together" when HE said we were, but he does that just to bug me.

Our first date, My Squeezypet & I were chaperoned by our best friends, Jae & TheAndy. We went thrifting (I'm pretty sure Squeezums bought me some clothes, but I can't for the life of me remember what, exactly).
Next, we ate at a Chinese buffet, where there seemed to be an unspoken conspiracy between our friends that Squeezums & I couldn't sit next to each other... & Squeezums ate a cheese-covered mussel, partly to demonstrate how much he loved cheese, but mostly to impress me (not sure how, exactly, that was supposed to be impressive, but boys are weird ;} ).
We ended up at a local arcade, which was the first time I'd ever seen anybody actually play Dance Dance Revolution. Jae & I sat at a table next to the DDR machine, completely entranced by the cute teenaged boys jumping around.
Every once in awhile, Squeezums would glide by & drop off more tokens at our table... so that we could give them to the teenaged boys & keep watching them jiggle.
At that point, I knew Squeezums was a keeper. ^_^

I met DH at a party, and we hung out all night long. I found out he lived on a boat on the Hudson, and I really wanted to go see it. A friend who is always very cautious told me not to go to the boat alone, and that sounded like good advice, so a few days later, I went with two girlfriends. After that, I would consider it our first "date" and I went back to the pier where he had white wine and strawberries. We sat by the water watching boats going by, looking at the statue of liberty and talking for hours. I ended up staying over (I really was just so comfortable that I fell asleep), and we went for brunch the next day. That morning was when Princess Di was killed, as a side note. We were going to walk up to Wigstock (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wigstock), but on the walk, I ended up not feeling well (too much sun is not good for a super white girl like me) and I bailed when we got there. He thought I was ditching him. The rest, I guess, is history! :kimgrill:

On our first date he brought me a big bar of white chocolale (like a 2 pound bar). There's a really large arcade about an hour north of us called Funspot, so we planned to go there.... We went to Wendy's first because we were hungry and then went to Funspot... After we left there, we randomly decided to drive an hour and a half out to the seacoast to go to one of the sex toy shops where I was having a "good little girl" moment and refused to go in.... So, he went in and got me a few toys and then he took me home and I think he might have stayed most of the night...

He came to pick me up at my apartment. We went to dinner and then to LaSalette which is this HUGE place with TONS and TONS of christmas lights. We walked around, talked, drank hot chocolate.
When we were done, we still didn't want to go home so we decided to get some microwave popcorn and rent a movie. We hung out at my place until the wee hours of the morning. When it was time for him to go I walked him down to his car. He asked if he could hug me and of course I said yes. (I mean HELLO....he's a hottie!) I pulled back just enough to give him "the look" to say it was okay to kiss me and he begins to ASK first. Before he could even finish I just planted one on him. The dude was taking way too long.
We ended up going out again the next night and the rest is history!

I drove to meet him here (I was living an hour away) and since we hadn't met yet (my dad set us up and we had only talked on the phone) we decided to go out in a group with some of his friends.
Unfortuntely I came down with the worst cold ever the day before, but I came down anyway. He called me a trouper.

We went over to Galena, IL shopping for homecoming shoes for me and then we stopped at McDonalds on the way home and shared a large fry and Alex got a chocolate shake and I got a strawberry shake. Alex doesn't call that our first date, he says when we went to homecoming together that that was our first date.

Every year, Ann Arbor hosts on of the largest street art fairs. Patrick picked me up and took me for breakfast in the hotel where he was working. I got to meet all of his coworkers. We spent all day walking around looking at the art. It was so nice.
Three years later, he picked me up and took me for breakfast at the same place, sat in the same booth. We went to art fair and walked around for a while. After a few hours of browsing art, we sat down under a tree and he proposed.
Our first actual date was being just friends, we went shopping, movies, dinner, and also a short make out session.
But, to actual date no we never really did, it was just like natural.
Your my girl and your my guy and we committed.
Now I want a actual date!:hysterics:

We were set up on a blind date by his brother's wife. I was his nephew's preschool teacher, his SIL thought I was wonderful and when she found out I was single, asked if I would go out on a blind date with her husband's brother. I said yes, he called me a few days later and we arranged to go out the next weekend. We went out to dinner and then went to see Analyze That.

Hi hi-
Our first date was spent in his truck, driving up the mountain until we hit snow just talking and watching the world go by. It was the coolest thing ever.

Our first date was 3 days after we met. He called me the night before and asked me if I wanted to go see the fireworks with him the next day. I had already made these same plans with friends and I quickly cleared my schedule and went with him. We went for dinner and then walked around downtown before heading down to a crowd of 100,000 people to watch the fireworks. We had our first kiss/make-out session on a hill as people watched  SO NOT LIKE ME!!! And then we drove around and he hoped to make out some more at this spot by the river.. but I was too nervous. Then he drove me home and I was swooning for the rest of the night.

We were friends for 6 months before we started dating.
Our first date was to a great restaurant and bar. We had drinks before dinner and a fantastic meal. We went home and watched some tv snuggled up on the couch together. I have been smitten ever since!

Our first date was a formal dance sponsored by his fraternity, Pi Kappa Alpha. It was out of town and we shared a hotel room. We both had a horrible time with each other. He didn't dance. I had been out partying with his frat brothers :party3: until way too late the night before so I was no sparkling example of fun. When we laid down to sleep, he hit me in the face with his elbow. I said, Never again am I going out with that guy!". Ummmm, 27 years later, I have eaten those words more than once. :)

Jim and I met online in a Yahoo BBW Chatroom on January 11, 2005. I had been chatting with him about stuff that was going on and had told him I needed to go soon because my friend's dad had died suddenly and I needed to go to the visitation. The visitation, however, was almost 2 hours away by car and it was getting dark and becoming quite foggy.
I was getting the "you shouldn't go, its too foggy" from him and my mother, who had just walked in the door from work. So I kept chatting with him, mentally deciding what I was going to wear, etc. I insisted to him that I had to go to this visitation. Then, he said, "If you are going to go, you shouldn't go alone. Come pick me up and I'll go with you." Um... hello? I just met you not 2 hours ago ONLINE and you want me to do what?? By that time it was between 6 and 6:30 and the fog was getting worse, so I said, I'll just send a card and some flowers. He agreed that that was probably a good idea, considering the weather was getting worse.
So, THEN he asks me out to dinner and asks about places in my town to eat. I said that we had a Pizza Hut, a family owned Italian restaurant, McDonalds, Hardee's, Subway, and another family owned restaurant. He suggested Pizza Hut and asked if it was "here" ( he described the location), and I told him it was and asked him when he wanted to meet. "About an hour?", he said.
So, it was okay for him to drive almost an hour in the fog to meet me for pizza, but it wasn't okay for me to drive to go to a visitation. I of course got there early, so I could be inside...;) He walked in and as soon as he saw me he had the biggest smile on his face. He was cute, and I didn't give it much thought after that. I was really impressed with how polite he was! About halfway through our meal, he reached over and put his hand on mine as we were talking, which I thought was sweet. We ended up talking almost until Pizza Hut closed, and he walked me to my car. We both agreed we had a really nice time. Then, he asked me if he could kiss me. I said sure, thinking.... okay, its just a kiss. No biggie. That one kiss turned into several. In fact, we stood there kissing so long with me leaning on my SUV, that I didn't know it had started to rain. Talk about being oblivious!
He and I went out several times that week, each time him driving over and I figured he was "ok" so I picked him up at Hardee's from then on.
So now, whenever I ask him how I got to be so lucky to find him, his answer? "It was foggy."
God Bless inclimate weather. ;)

We started talking online & phone on August 15th. He drove an 1 hr, 15 minutes from Coffeyville, KS to Disney, OK to pick me up.
Then drove another hour to Tulsa so we could have dinner (mexican resturant) and see a movie (Dukes of Hazzard-I am huge fan and wanted to see it).
Then afterward drove an hour BACK to my house :) I knew by the end of the date (or even before then) that I wanted to see him again. He called me before he even got home and we talked AGAIN for a bit :)

Our first date was to see Jurasic Park 2 in the theatre with his sister and her then boyfriend. After, we went out to A&W to grab something to eat...then he dropped me off at home....and asked for a hug. He too---like with Krissy's experience...took way too long!! But he's a gentleman. :happysigh: We went out every night for about 2 weeks and then were "official".

My husband and I were friends for about a year before I started getting feelings for him. We had some classes together and had hung out as friends a few times after work to go to McDonalds after class, so we hadn't been around each other for any long period of time before our first date.
Our first date consisted of us driving 4 hours to Columbus, Ohio to see a band we both loved. We had great conversations on the drive over, and when we stood outside in the cold weather (Ohio in December is not very warm!), he put his arms around me when I complained of being cold. He kept his arms around me the entire evening, and we had another good conversation on the way back from the show. I decided to be good that night and made him wait until the next evening before he could kiss me, and by that time the next night, we were dating.

Brent and I met in college (8 years ago) and we've been friends ever since. We started dating in 2003 when I came to visit him for a few days that summer, then he came to the beach with me. Our first date was a movie and lunch at TGIFridays. You can tell we were eating to impress - he had ribs and I had pasta with a LOT of garlic in it!
Our first official date was his high schools Homecoming (we were Juniors). I have one photo of us from it, and boy do we look funny!

On our "first date" I was really trying to hook up FH with a friend of mine. They didn't click at all, and she left after after a half hour or so. Then FH and I started talking more and stayed up all night talking. There was a pretty hot goodbye kiss, and I realized that my matchmaking attempt got turned around on me! Our first official date, a few days later, we shared a bottle of wine and some conversation.
It is a good thing, too. I found out a few months later that the friend I tried to hook him up with had genital herpes. There is no way I would have considered being with him were he exposed to that!

Sorry if this is kinda long.
Ok so first off hes 7yrs older then me. Back when i was high school, my friend and i were standing outside after school waiting for her ride. So a little car pulls up and she introduses me to her friend Trevor ( i was new in town) We say hello and they leave. About a week later i told her i was sick of being single, so she gets the bright idea to set me up with Trevor, she emails him, and he emails me we set up a time and place here in town to meet. I was working at KFC at the time, and he was in town visting his mom and sister. So that night of course our tills get messed up at work so my boss tells me i have to stay to help fix it, thinking it wouldnt take very i said yea. Well i never met him that night. But did email him the next day to let him know what happend. no answer so i gave up.....thinking maybe he didnt even show up. So fast forward to like 3 months after my 18th birthday. Im in the bar with one of my friends, adn we sit down with some people she knew. Then leaves me sitting there, so i was trying to be nice and talk to them. So like 2-3 weeks later same friend and i go to the bar, and were sitting there watching the stripper...lol yes i know what ur thinking. But so he walks in, orders a beer and comes and sits with us, i didnt think anything of it. So we get chatting and i decide we should play pool so i ask both him and my friend if they want to, she says no, shes leaving. But this guy says yes. So were playing pool and drinking and get talking. IT finally clued into me that he was the guy i was supposed to be set up with. He didnt figure it out till i told him. So we leave the bar, and he askes me if he can walk me home, i said no. So the next night we meet in the bar again, same thing happens, can i walk you home, umm no. lol......but that night i wrote my number in his smoke pack, and he gives me his. That weekend some of my friends and i were going to go out, i called asked him if he wanted to come out with us, so he says sure. well that night first off i learned i gave him the wrong number, please dont ask how cuz i still dont know. So he askes to walk me home, so i say yea..... we get there and i told him he could crash on the floor....lol so within 5 mins i felt bad, and my bed is really smail but said ok u can crash up here. LOL. So were talking and i finally ask, well to some it could seem like were dating, what are we doing? Hes like well do ya wanna go out, im like sure why not. lol so in that you can pick the first date.....but i have to tell u what happend after.
Ok so i had met his sister and her best friend that night that my friend ditched me. He was living with his sister at the time, so the night after he stayed over, he was at home with them, and they got talking and said they thought i was a lesbien...(SP) .lol. So i didnt care, its me, not the first time thats happend or been mistakein for a guy. Trevor looks at them and says i know shes not one. There like how so, and he tells them cuz he spent the night at her house, and shes my girlfriend now.
So i was working at a lounge were older people used to go at the time. His mom used to be one of them, not knowing who she was at the time,. He came into pick her up one night she was to drunk to drive, and she said something about me, adn he looks at her. and says hey mom thats my girlfriend ur tlaking about. well her face went beat red. lol
so sorry this is long, and part of it was off topic

Nate and I met at a college party at his apartment... then agreed to meet up the next night at another party at his fraternity house... but I wouldn't really consider those first dates, as we had all our friends around both nights. But he asked me out to dinner the following weekend and took me out to this nice Italian restaurant. The most memorable thing that night was when we got there, we had to wait for a table. The waiter asked him for a name, and he gave Bob. I looked at him funny, and he said he always gets a kick out of giving fake names, because for some reason people have real issues with the name Nate (he says he gets called Nat, etc. a lot)... so 10 minutes later, the host is calling for Bob, and Nate is just sitting there staring into space... I had to nudge him and go "Hey Bob, our table is ready!" He was kinda embarressed, but it was super cute.

We met online, just by sheer chance, on a Catholic message board - Heather, you know the one! ;) On July 28th, 2004.
We talked online, and on the phone and webcam, for eight months. I had decided before we ever met that I was going to take myself on some sort of international trip for my big 4-0 birthday. After we met, I decided it would be England.
So - our first date started with me landing in London, after 14 hours in airports (had to change flights in Canada). I got off the plane, and through customs/immigration - totally overwhelmed by the experience. I walked out to the common area of Heathrow Airport, the busiest international airport in the world, and was confronted with hundreds of people waiting behind roped off areas for friends and family. I looked around, saw the little meeting place sign we agreed to meet by, and then he just walked right up to me!! The first time in the flesh - there he was!!! Amazingly gorgeous, dressed in a midnight navy, double breasted suit, and a black shirt. He stepped up to me, took me in his arms, kissed me, and said - "Welcome to England".
I was gone. So completely overwhelmed by everything, and swept off my feet!!!
So this began our 16 day long first date. And half way through, he proposed, and I accepted.
Here are some photos from the day we met:

Our first "date" lasted 6 days. ;) I guess I should start at the beginning.
We knew each other from an online forum, but not very well. There was a big get-together at someone's place in Seattle, and we both got to know each other there. We became friends.
Months later, after talking online every single day, I booked a flight to go see him. It was terrifying, absolutely terrifying! I know I'd met him in person before, but it was DIFFERENT then. I walked out of the airport terminal to see him standing there. :) He hugged me. I was horrifically jittery the entire ride to his apartment, I could barely speak.
It was valentines day, as an aside. Didn't plan it that way, it was just when my spring break was.
When we got to his apartment I walked in to find a stuffed animal and box of chocolate on the bed. :D I was still so horribly nervous. We ended up just laying on the bed talking. He kissed me. (My first kiss - which is why I was so damn nervous!!) It was weird. :D But we talked, and snuggled, and fell asleep.
So I was there for 6 days. The second day was better, and by the third day all that weird nervousness and strangeness had worn off and we'd fallen into the same comfortable relationship that we had online. And somewhere in that time we just really knew that it was real, that it was something special. We already knew we were in love - we just didn't know if it would translate well to real life and all. Well it did.
Leaving was the hardest thing I had to do. But somehow we made it work over the next three years. :)
I really love hearing these LD stories, particularly the ones where you have actually met online initially.
Natalie, I didn't know that's how you two worked it out.

I know EXACTLY what you mean about this!! We knew before we met in person that it was meant to be - we just needed to be sure we would translate from virtual to actual. I remember that akward strangeness too - you KNOW the person, but yet you are only really knowing them for the first time. It's very strange actually.
Someone needs to do a study of online romances that make it. I think it would be fascinating.
~Liza
Our first date was actually almost 6 months after we became a couple. We were both overseas, in the same unit, and quickly became best friends. About 5 months into the deployment we decided to quit ignoring our feelings for each other and make it official. So, technically we didn't have our first date until we went on R&R...to Italy.
It was the most romantic date I've ever had and couldn't have gone any better. We got to the island in the late afternoon. We walked around just sightseeing and taking it all in. We had dinner at this little outdoor Italian restaurant where the wine is cheaper than soda. Afterwards we went down to the beach and walked barefoot in the moonlight, picking up seashells. When we were putting on our shoes, fireworks started going off, literally. I guess one of the hotels was doing some sort of celebration thing. So we stood there holding each other and watching the fireworks. The whole night was amazing!

Our first date was sorta random. We had met online through yahoo personals over a year and a half before we met in person. He kept me on his messanger list though we both ended up involved with others. He was actually on a 'break' from his gf when we first started talking. I didnt want to get involved with that. When I broke it off with my previous boyfriend I was having a really rough time between the breakup, moving and work. I changed my yahoo status message every day (usually to something quarky!). It caught his attention, we started chatting and ended up meeting up near the outlet mall where i used to live. Needless to say I regret moving now because he lives 45 minutes away. Oh well, hopefully we will have a together living situation at the beginning of next year!

Not sure what our 1st date was. Was it the night we went with a group of friends to eat breakfast at 1:30 am after the club closed and were out yacking away til 3 am?
Or was it the night we had our 1st kiss on the 1st night we went out together just the two of us after not seeing each other for a few weeks. He cought me just as the club was about to close and asked if I wanted to go for a ride in his new Z?
Or was it the night after he called and invited me out on a date? :D
I think the latter one is it! I had him meet me at the club we 1st saw each other and then drove to an italian restaurant :lick: The food was great! But we had to hurry through dinner cuz we had a movie to get to. "War of the Worlds" I can't believe this was our 1st date movie!!

we had been chatting online a tiny bit, but our first date was on the 4th of july. being an american in sweden, of course the 4th isn't celebrated here. he understood that i was feeling a bit homesick, so we headed to the hard rock cafe for some american food.
there were plenty of fireworks that night- even though they weren't in the sky ;)

I enjoyed reading all the first date stories.
We worked together, so technically our first "date" may have been lunch, but afterward, on the way into the office, he asked for my # and called me that night. So our first official date was dinner at the Italian Oven and then a haunted house.
No first kisses until the 2nd date, though! :floating:

Jeff and I never really had a first date, either time that we dated. The first time, we started dating after hooking up at my brother's house. This time, we started by going for dinners together as friends, then sort of fell into dating each other... i know it sounds weird, but thats what happened

I met my fh about 3 years before we actually started dating. I was 14, he was about 17. The following year he left for college, so although we both sensed some sort of "spark" when we first met neither of what at the right place to date each other.
Anyway, about 3 years later we started talking again and he officially asked me on a date. We went to this little coffee/ice cream place in downtown Charleston.

We met online, and had our first date four or five days later. We went out for supper, then to a concert. He drove me home and we kissed each other on the cheek. I thought for sure he wasn't into me, but he emailed me the next day from work, asking when we could hang again. :mushy:

our first date was somewhat of a disaster.
We were just gonna kind of hang out around his apartment and watch some movies or something but as soon as I got over there, a friend of ours who had been somewhat obsessed with him for about three years showed up. We tried to shake her all night but she wouldn't leave us alone. Finally, Wesley got upset about the whole thing and got a nose bleed and had to take me home.
I hung out in my room for like two hours and then got a call on my cell phone. It was Wesley and he wanted to come pick me up.
and this is the best part...
We drove around in his car for a while and ended up at Pacer Pond (the small lake on campus) and talked for about two hours. While we were talking, this amazing lightning storm just kinda popped into the sky and we watched it for a while. (He still swears that it wasn't planned) Then he finally took me back to my dorm at 6:00 in the morning and we had our first real kiss in the car in front of the dorm. :loveshower:
The next night we "watched" about six movies at a friend's house. I didn't get home till 7 that morning

First date we met for ice cream at Marble Slab & then went to a Dollar movie. This was my idea. I was VERY nervous and he says he wasn't really. At the movie I caught him staring at me which made me very uncomfortable and he even tried to hold my hand which made me tense up lol After we walked to our cars and he gave me a hug and started to come in for a kiss. I was unsure if he was going to give me a kiss on the lips or on the cheek.. and at the last possible second I turned my head and his face landed in my hair. WORST. DATE. EVER. lol (we joke) He thought he was never going to see me again but I was interested despite the blunder lol

I guess I'm the "bad girl" out of the bunch...
I met ben when I was supposed to be meeting my ex in Wal-Mart parking lot to talk about getting back together. Well, Ben was there with this girl HE was talking to about getting back together with who I'd known for YEARS!!
Needless to say-i had had a few beers and wasn't really caring, and the ex boyfriend was ignoring me so I hit on Ben.. and He hit on me back. Before I left Walmart parking lot that night he told me to meet him in the parking lot of the car wash, and he pulled up there and we kissed. simple... I texted him till midnight, and then snuck out of my house to go party with 3 of my guy friends, and didn't get in till 1 AM but I had a msg in my phone asking me out for the next night. (Saturday)
Well, I was SUPPOSED to have a date that night with this guy that was okay, but kind of got on my nerves, so I told THAT guy I was sick, and told Ben I would, but I didn't wanna have a boyfriend, wasn't looking for a realationship and really just wanted to ride around, drink, and later go to the national forest (one of the town's most famous parking spots, yes, i did that with him on our FIRST DATE).....
The next night, he asked me out while we were in the middle of "something" ha ha and I got caught off guard and I haven't been able to get rid of him since, lol!

Lets see...I feel like this is so long ago now!
The first time I met Josh we were at an after party for a football game. I had a boyfriend at the time and he was such a little jerk. I got extra drunk at this party because my boyfriend and I had been fighting all day. Josh and I ended up playing flip cup across from each other. We started talking, maybe small talk and what not. He asked for my number and I gave it to him while mumbling something about my boyfriend. About 2 seconds later I got this expression on my face like I was going to throw up. Josh grabbed my arm and pulled me into the bathroom and held my hair as I threw up. The end.
Amazingly, lol, he wasn't disturbed by me and we became really good friends. For our first official date we went to the first football game of the season and then out for ice cream. We sat outside on the steps of the store for a few hours just talking. He drove me home afterwards and kissed me as I was getting out the car. It was incredibely sweet. :)

mmmh. first "official" date. now, when we met i was 16 and he was 17, so we were both still in high school , so that will explain alot, lol.
[B]july 9th, 2005 - well the first time we met was at a mutual friend's [girl, "K"] birthday party. at the time, i had a boyfriend [kindof] and he had a girlfriend. i tried to get him to eat a marshmallow that i had sticking out of my face; i tried to trick him into kissing me, lol. little did he know, i HATE marshmallows, so that was really something for me! but he wouldn't eat the darn marshmallow. so i figured that was the end of that.
late august 2005 - we again meet up at a friend's party; this time, however, it was an end-of-summer party. this time, he was dating "K" [the girl whose party we met at] though they were fighting during the entire party. i had no boyfriend at the time. we kindof avoided each other, because "K" and i had kindof drifted apart, and she was being really nasty to me.
september 2005 - i was at ANOTHER party, and "K" was there, without clif. during the party, he called her on her cell phone, she looked at the screen and said, "oh, it's clif. i SO don't want to talk to him right now," and threw her phone across the room. later that evening, he dumped her via telephone.
mid october 2005 - my best guy friend, [male, "B"] and i were planning a halloween party. we went to walmart to buy a bunch of snacks and sodas. i remember what i was wearing, lol. i was wearing a short jean skirt, a black tanktop that said "save a horse, ride a cowboy" and a cowgirl hat, hahahaha. on the way out from our shopping adventure, i saw clif pushing carts in the parking lot [he worked there at the time]. he whistled at me, and as we passed each other in the parking lot, i gave him a post-it note with my phone number on it. i yelled back at him, "call me for a good time!" and then giggled as i walked away. thinking about it now, it made me sound like such a hoochie.
october 22nd, 2005 - halloween party! i made "B" call "T" [clif's best friend] to make sure that clif was coming. after a bit of phone tag, i found out that yes, he was going to come! the party went off great; even though "K" was there, and was staring me down all night. anywho. clif and i were flirting around the whole time. i would sit on the pool table, and he'd come over and lean up real close. he was telling me how cute i was and such. of course, i had to keep running off and giggling with my girlfriends about it,. so i had to run recon and ask "T" if clif liked me, and he said, "yeah, i think so." so, the party was starting to wind down, and clif says to me, "hay, i've gotta go." and i said, "okay, i'll walk you to your car." we're walking out to his car, and the stars were big and bright out, and it was just starting to lightly drizzle, and when we got to his car, we just kindof melted into each other. :love4: i don't know how long we were out there, leaning against his car [firebird!] and making out in the soft rain, but it was amazing. finally, he really had to go, so he walked me back to the house, made sure that he had my phone number correct in his cell phone, and then left. i went back in and, of course, EVERYONE wanted to know all the juicy details. :happytears:
october 23rd-26th, 2005 - he called me the next day, and we talked for a couple of hours. he asked me for my email address, and my myspace, lol. we emailed each other every couple of minutes, it seemed like, and we talked every day. well, at that time he had work every afternoon, except on thursdays, which was when he had guitar lessons. so i gave him my address, and he said that he'd come up to the house on thursday after his guitar lessons, and take me out to dinner. i asked my mom, but she said no. she's a big meanie. so he said okay, we'll just hang out at your house.
october 27th, 2005 - thursday couldn't come fast enough! when he finally got there, i was so excited. we went into the basement and watched a movie. [seriously!] we were talking and making out a little bit, and i totally had to set him up for it, because i knew he'd never get up the courage to, so i just kindof said, "so, why is it that a cute guy like you doesn't have a girlfriend?", to which he replied, "i don't know.....do you wanna be my girlfriend?" :love4: so cheesy, so cute. so, of course, i said yes. then i mentioned that homecoming was that weekend, and he said that he wanted to take me. "B" was, up until that time, my date, and i felt bad, but not really. i wanted to take my new boyfriend and show him off!
october 29th, 2005 - homecoming! we went, we had a great time, i got to show him off. on the way home, i had him park. and i was sitting on his lap. and we were making out. and then i saw a car pull up behind us. i jumped off his lap and said, "who the hell is that?" it was a cop. :eeek: he knocked on the window with his stick thing, and shined the light in on us, and asked ME to step out of the car. i was so scared! he asked me to close the door, and then asked me if i was there of my own accord. i assured him that yes, i was there of my own accord, to which he replied, "okay then. be safe, kids." and drove away. and then clif drove me home because he was scared shitless. :happytears:
dating, happy. fastforward one month.
november 27th, 2005 - he asked my mom if he could take me out to dinner, to which she finally relented. he picked me up, and we went to olive garden. when we got there, we sat down in a booth, side by side, and he pulled a single rose out of who knows where and gave it to me. i said, "what's this for?" and he said, "will you be my girlfriend?" and i said, "of course, silly, i already am!" and i laughed. i then said, "what was that for?" and he said, "that was how i officially wanted to ask you out, but your mom wouldn't let me take you out, so i had to just ask you in your basement." :love4: that was our "one month anniversary".
so.....it's up in the air as to what was our first "official" date.
okay. i know how much you people like pictures, lol. so here.

we didn't really have a first date :disappoint:
we met at lunch after services at the synogauge, started hanging out, and then after a "mullet party" we wound up talking a lot, kissed, etc and knew there was no turning back!

Jim and I met online through eHarmony. I filled out the profile thing there, thinking I would just do it to see who they matched me up with, but I wouldn't really use it to find anyone to date - I was done looking for love. Jim was one of the first people they matched me up with. I looked, thought he was interesting, but didn't pay to try to contact him. But he did try to contact me.
I wasn't sure I wanted to pay $60 to join, so I waited until I got a buy one month get two months three offer, and then, figuring I could try out some other guys if it didn't work with Jim, I signed up.
We started talking online, and then on the phone, and then a few weeks after we started communicating, I agreed to go on a date with him. We went to dinner at local small restaurant (which has since closed, sadly), and then we went to a movie.
At the end of the date he took me back to my car (we had met at a grocery store), and I sat in his truck, wondering if he was going to kiss me. He finally did, and before I got out of his truck, I leaned over and kissed him again. :) We've been together ever since.

We met on Yahoo! Personals, which is also where i met my ex. Things didnt end well with that guy so i was kinda leery about finding anyone else. I hadnt checked my account for quite a while but decided to just see one day. I had a message (or was it an ice breaker??) from Chris. I checked out his profile and picture and thought, what the heck! I remember being totally pessimistic about the whole thing though and i made it very clear. Im kind of surprised he kept talking to me. But he did and we talked online for a few weeks and then eventually exchanged phone numbers and did the phone convos for a while. Finally i agreed to meet him. His parents were out of town for the weekend so i went to his house. Yeah i know, not the smartest thing to do, but i survived the whole ordeal. We spent the entire visit in his room, which was odd since we had the entire house to ourselves. We ordered pizza, played Lord of the Rings chess...exciting huh? And watched a South Park Marathon. I remember laying on his bed while he was in his computer chair and he played iwth my hair for littlerally HOURS. The only reason he did that though was because i told him i love it when people played with my hair, and that it would either turn me on or put me to sleep. Too bad for him it made me more sleepy then anything else. I stayed there until 2 or 3 am. I wouldnt say it was the perfect date at all. In fact i wasnt all that attracted to him but he was nice.
For some reason we kind of stopped talking for about a month. I thought he didnt like me so i just let it go. Not sure how we started talking again but then we decided to go on a real first date, not just meeting at his house. So he came and picked me up and we went and had dinner at Red Lobster. I remember him putting his arm around me while we waited for our table. I have no idea what we talked about while having dinner but i do remember after dinner we just drove around. I showed him where i worked and he showed me where his mom worked and i showed him my old house, and other odd things like that. We just drove around talking and laughing and discovering things in our town. We had our first kiss while waiting at a stop light. We made our relationship official a few days later. And the rest is history. We've been going strong for over 4 and a half years.

Mine has two parts.
Our first "real" date was in high school. We were on a school trip to DC in the spring and we snuck off to a corner of Constitution Gardens during some down time and made out under the cherry blossoms.
We break up after high school.
Flash forward a few years and I've got another man. I end up getting a job with my cherry blossom man and we rekindle our old friendship. Office dating is definitely frowned upon, so we keep our attraction on the DL. I get rid of my new man (who I was engaged to) and keep things on the sly with my now hubs.
We get sent to DC on a work trip in the spring and...
He proposes under the cherry blossoms. The site of our first date back in high school. 6 months later, we're married.
So it's kinda like my first date...only twice :)
