What to do with favors?

Trying to decide how to do our favors. Which do you like best.

A couple notes first: We are having our wedding at a winery and the wine glasses used are from that winery. And all M&Ms used will be the red/pink/white mix I just didn't want to open a bag to make a sample so used a small bag of the regular.

1. Using just cones with our personalized ribbon and place them on the tables at each place setting

2. Use bags for M&Ms and put inside the wine glasses and tie personalized ribbon either on bag of M&Ms or wine glass.

3. Put wine glass with M&Ms in it inside of a "thank you" bag

Lisa, I voted for the cones. I knew you had them already. But, I also like the idea of the wine glasses very much. I don't think you could go wrong with either one. Not a big fan of the bags. ;)

Like Cindy said, I do have all the cones we would need already. But we have not bought the wine glasses yet.

My thought is to just give our OOT guests a wine glass at the rehearsal dinner I think our families would appreciate the keepsake. Chris is the one who wants to give out wine glasses to everyone. I don't kow how we would control that to one per person though. I don't want someone taking a set!

My favorite is the m&m's in the wine glasses but people might think that the glasses are part of the favor!

I like the cones...but you could give wine glasses at the rehearsal as a favor so Chris' idea would be used too :wink1:

We put wine charms and their place cards on the glasses, so it was clear to our guests that they were to take them. We got our glasses at Target- 12 for $10. I know they had wine glasses, too. Thank you for the ideas, but if we do the wine glasses we will use the ones from the winery. The idea behind it is to give everyone something from the winery the wedding is at.

I do love the idea of their place card on the wine glass though. But I also already have place card holders. Darn me for shopping early!

Thank you, I got them from Paper Mart (http://www.papermart.com/templates/88-0-90.htm), and they were 32 cents each. I also got my OOT guest gift bags from there, they have very good quality products and great prices.

I like the cones, personally. DH's cousin did personalized champagne glasses for their favors, and honestly, not many people took them. We took ours home and ended up throwing them away. Just my two cents.

I'm also a fan of the cones, just from what I've heard and from how I feel, edible favors are great and anything that someone has to take home usually collects dust and gets tossed eventually.

Jaci, that is why we decided on the M&Ms. The wine glasses have kind of been an after thought because we didn't know the winery had them.

I think what we have decided to do is give the M&Ms in the cones at the wedding as favors. And give the wine glasses to our families at the rehearsal dinner. My family has all already told me they want a wine glass.

And just a note, someone said something about personalized glasses as favors, these would not be personalized with our names and date, just with the logo from the winery the wedding is at.

Great choice. Like someone said, there's a chance that someone may toss the glasses after they've collected dust for a while. Not as likely to happen when you're handing them to your family and WP at the rehearsal :)

If you already have the cones and ribbon, my vote is for #1.

If you don't have the cones and ribbon, I would just bag them up and set them on the center of each plate.

I voted for cones cause we went to a wedding where we got personalized wine glasses and honestly they sit in our cubboard and I'm half tempted to throw them out. :shrug2:

I really like the bags. I very rarely see anything like this..They do have a nice look to them....
